thanks for watching!
Extremely Helpful. Thank you very much.
I just replied the 3rd gear in my 250 SE and now the top end bogs down ..could be timing or only carb issues. It starts with no problem. Idles fine just boggs at the high. Ideas?
Thank you
Would the choke bein like that affect the running or idea of the 250. I have 2011 that I've fixed up fixed up my kiddos. An im getn fuel to the carb but it's not pushing it out to burn it ya no. Plug is dry! So I'm just now playing with the carb pulled it apart an cleaned it an put it back on an nuthn. So I'm not sure what to do now but rebuild it completely. The carb I mean? Any input would be appreciated 👍!
I recently picked up a raptor 250 and it feels very sluggish. Doesn't seems to wanna stall or die just feels like it has no power. I've cleaned air filter, and put fresh gas and nothing. Any tips could it be something in carb or valves need adjusted
Do you still have the raptor 250?
Mixture screw? I don't want to drill any plugged ports trying to find it without knowing for sure.

Mixture screw is on the engine side of the carb, directly under the carb port that attaches to the engine. You can't see it if the carb is on the bike. Absolutely worst place for the screw! Need to buy an extended screw, or get a 90 degree flat head screw driver, or get a micro-ratchet with a micro flat head screw bit. It's a pain to adjust in that position no matter. It's cramped and often hot due to the engine running.
Do u know where I can find a new carburetor for the 250?

Might be your float bowl .
What is the right measurement for float high?
@wardstanford8177
Жыл бұрын
13 mm. Make sure you measure with the float "tang" just initially touching the valve tip. The valve has a spring-loaded tip, that should not be depressed when measuring the float height.
How do I remove the piece inside the carb where the float needle goes
@wardstanford8177

Use needle-nose pliers, grab the lip of the seat securely and lift out. It is only held in place by friction from a rubber o-ring. It could take bit of effort if the carb has a few years since it's last rebuild. Nothing to break though when trying to lift it out. Make sure your rebuild kit came with all new components for this valve seat (the seat that your trying to pull out, new o-ring, and a new wire strainer basket for the seat (bottom, outside of seat)), before grabbing it with the pliers. If the kit did not have the above seat parts, stop the rebuild, and get a kit that does. Hope this helps.
What is the best way to remove the carb?

i just ripped that thing out
I guess we just rewatch the video to reinstall it
It's a good how to of the basics, but it doesn't show things like the unique needle valve seat, or how to properly set the float height, which should always be checked when rebuilding a bike carb. Not a bad video, but room to be a better "how to" on a bike that does not have many how to's.
You have the same chain as me lol
