I just got out of a 15 year, yes....15 year depression. U know how I got out of it? Understanding that I had to actually get up out of bed and literally do something, anything. It’s an actual fight to get out of depression. It’s been working for the past 8 months and I’m actually becoming proud of myself for figuring that out. Cause depression SUQ’s!!!

I agree, I was in a horrible place and it literally takes force of will to get up and do something about it cause your body just doesnt want to function. what helped me was forcing myself to do strenuous exercise running on a bike trail near my house. the endorphins and the Ecotherapy really helps with this and makes you see solutions you wouldnt of in your low state

I was in the same boat you were in for the past two years straight. I attempted suicide twice, and I never in a million years thought I would actually start healing from it. In the past, I used to contemplate suicide on a daily basis. But now, I don't consider it an option anymore. It's weird to say, but I think i've definitely healed a lot. i think the one thing that healed me, was loving myself for who I was. That relationship with myself, I think often a lot people hate themselves, and they expect their life to be some fairy tale, and they care too much about what people think of them. I had to let go of all of this, and I let myself do that, now I feel more free. Don't get me wrong I do have hard days, but it's nowhere near as bad anymore.

I had to move in tiny increments because I was so overwhelmed, I told myself that healing couldn’t be rushed, and that took off the pressure to quickly be 100% again. Idk how I've made it this far. I've pretty much turned into a zombie and have lost interest in everything. Just living day to day... Now I'm dealing with more storms, and I'm still just trying to hold on... In the military, pills were pushed on me and ended up making me more suicidal. The further you get down the road the clearer things get but to get there you got to keep walking blindly forward in faith. Getting out of 10 years of severe depression. All by myself. My parents love to blame me instead of understanding why i messed up for ten years, why i dropped from being a topper to series of failure and all of what I did had it roots in my undiagnosed adhd. Ten years - out of which for six years, each day i thought of giving up on my life. The fact i am alive rn, the monster in my head not as big as it used to be - feels like a miracle. Now, when i am in the last stage wanting to restart life again at 26, two times uni drop out, going to med school next year, be a surgeon - i see an empty canvas infront of me while many of my age have filled a part of it. But i also realise, i can fill this canvas too. Help others who have been like me. Dance in the rain, pick shells on a beach, have a cup of chai.....i can do all of this, instead of thinking about kms. Life is changing for me, from black to grey and to the lighter shades of it.....but people around me summarise me with my failures. And i don't want to explain it to them. Yes, i will be starting my graduation/mbbs at 27. I will do it from my dream med college. I will be the black sheep without a mask in a herd of white sheeps or the ones pretending to be, as they struggle. I don't fit in the neurotypical society and idc anymore.

Another good advice when you are feeling like that is focus on one thing only. So often we reach that state and we feel overwhelmed. To combat that put one thing right in front of you and let go of the others. For instance if you are depressed, jobless, overweight, and a loner, you could focus on losing weight. Make that a goal, don't nesscessarily think long term because then you in all likelihood will feel overwhelmed again. Instead say "today I'll go to the gym" or "today I'll do intermittent fasting". If you focus on that one thing almost by magic the rest seem to fall in line. You'll meet people at the gym, you'll begin to feel good and more interested in nutrition, you'll find people to geek out with. The new focus and energy might lead to a new career path etc. Focus on one thing!

Thank you for sharing this. I'm at my lowest low, rock bottom. I lost everything financially in the stock market(400k), entire saving and no jobs. My family member assume that I'm doing all right emotionally and financially. Where deep down I constantly felt like killing myself. From getting cheated by my business partner (45k), lending fake friends money whom never paid back (40k) (some which I lend for their wedding which they had 3 kids now), loss my parents, building business and crashed down 3 times (30k), getting wiped out in stock market and more. I tend to avoid almost everyone and felt like disappearing from this world. I started to question my existence and blamed god for everything that happen in my life. When at one point, after relaxing my mind, its all on me. There are so many lesson to be learnt which I failed to see countless times. No one can make a difference except for ourselves. I'm trying to be grateful for everything that I've been through and keep positive get rid of all the negative. Its very difficult but I'm still trying and I still believe that I exist for a bigger purpose in life.

Same. I’m 38. Never had a career. Don’t ever remember not being sick and depressed and anxious. Even as a small child First thing I’m asked by any health expert medical or mental is how long has this been going on? They don’t believe me when I say it’s never not been going on. When u have no “good days” to look back on and work towards or even to “see” what that looks like? Well. Then what?

Hi Jane, you may also want to watch our video on “Why Should You Reboot Yourself” at kzread.info/dash/bejne/gIWYpM9tipndlbA.html Let’s face it, we reboot our mobile phone more than we reboot ourselves, don’t we? You update your phone when the notification pops up, and boom, in minutes, it’s running faster, no more glitches and it’s running smoother than it was before. This is what we need to do for ourselves, don’t you think? Our human body is the mother of all technologies. In this episode, we share how we rebooted our business to align with our life, plus you will learn how to do this for yourself too.

Now to stabilise my whole being I try to never skip yoga 15 minutes in the morning and evening and a little walk in the park. It actually cleans away the energies of the mind and body, it's like washing the mind and soul , take care everyone ✨🌸⭐️

Hey, force yourself to make simple tasks everyday, for example: start by waking up, opening the widows to the fresh air, making your bed and taking a shower, then add little things like going for a walk outside, a little bit of exercise. Trust me, it helps a lot to do these little tasks that don't require too much brain effort. Do you have a garden near your house? Go for a walk in nature. When we are depressed we can improve the depression by moving our body, but we have to force it a little bit. I Hope you get better.

@@sunrise5567 I felt "stuck" and didn't know how to move forward with my life for the longest time. I was on my 3rd therapist. Each helped me progress, but I left the first 2 feeling like they had taken me as far as they could with their skills and knowledge and I needed to try with somebody else. My last therapist basically said that each of these things was a traumatic experience and my resiliency took blow after blow and was weakened. My last therapist tried a therapy called EMDR on me that made a hugely positive impact. Its sort of counter intuitive and it took 5 months of therapy for it to work in my case. I'm about 80 to 90% back to normal. I dont feel stuck anymore and I have positive momentum in my life once again. I think persistence is key to overcoming something like this. I hope this helps.

My strategy is just living one day at a time, I don't waste my time and energy trying to plan for the future that will never happen. If you feel sad then cry, if you feel down then feel down. Society made us believe that we have to be/feel "normal" everyday but that's not a healthy way to live our lives in my opinion we have to really feel our emotions and not run away from it because we cannot run from our own feet.

Great video. After a relapse from my addiction late last year I (with support from friends and family) rebuilt my life and wellness practice within 6 weeks! Then, my mother (the closest person in my life) died suddenly one afternoon- she was laughing and joking that morning! I had a series of minor binges on alcohol and cocaine but nothing serious to cope with grief. Within a month of eachother two of my close friends both left the country to pursue careers. And another who I was living with almost rendered me homeless (long story) and I lost that relationship. My support network was gone Work was going extremely well despite all this going on in my personal life... until I had to deal with a suicidal client that needed immediate treatment. The experience sent me into a depression and I relapsed - majorly! Couldn’t get out of bed for 6 weeks - blew all of my savings Because of this I’ve lost clients, dignity, reputation, savings- but I still have respect and support from some people who know me professionally. I’m in the state you describe where getting hit by a bus would be a relief - I’ll try the 20 minute exercise and keep in mind controlling one thing from my day. Thanks

@ 05:26 - 'Just do one thing each day that you can control.' I totally agree. Try just walking around the block, just one lap, that's all. And then that counts as a win for the day, because you accomplished something. Chances are you may go back the next day, maybe add a second lap in the future, but no pressure. Take a simple victory, it will make a huge difference in your life - because you did it.
