I was told by a another pro mechanic that they've started using CBD oil especially in the older type of dampers. It's supposed to make the ride much smoother, almost tranquil like.

Wondered where you'd gotten to Mr Ichiban so I decided to visit and educate myself on the spring rebuild, but I was blown-away by your hand-held customised drill-bit cum buffer and with a couple of turns it was as good as new which was amazing! I see you haven't lost your touch : ) Your stickers which must be over 10 years old and still decorate my suitcase which makes my case easy to spot on airport carousels, just returned from the Balearic Islands (Mallorca) and as my case approached me in Edinburgh airport on the carousel a guy further down the line pointed and shouted Badass!

COULD THIS BE APPLIED TO MY 93 COROLLA? IT HAS TAPE CASSETTE

YOU HAVE TO make sure that you don't have the TOYOTA auto Cassette Dampers they are for cars with tape cassettE so there is not too much vibration and you have to use aluminum grade oil and spacer

Can't believe I've only just found this channel. Absolute gold mine of information. Bought a vintage hand drill, some assembly tape, learnt how to cut perfect circles in anything, threw out all the wrong loctite I'd be using and my power drills as well. Looking forward to making some real progress now. BTW, I could be wrong but I think you only sent Ant four stickers, no biggie ;-)

Great video, as per factory spec, rebuilt my bandit hagon shock using this method but used cod liver oil instead, man it's like new again, saved me a fortune, thanks Itchi, we're not worthy.

Righto, thanks for the info, I'll give this a ago! Surprising the shocks on the bike I am working on either haven't started leaking, or have leaking what oil they had decades ago, I just needed to figure out how to disassemble so I can clean up the spring and shock body of rust. Thanks!

Awesome video! I just had my shock rebuilt on my '19 strom 1000 and just under 2000 miles on it I have a bad oil leak. I did hit a curb when goofing off in a parking lot and bottomed it out. Could have have damaged my shock beyond repair or do you think it's just a seal? I curbed it before a 1200 mile round trip and discovered the leak when I got back.

I'm Sick and Tired of these KZread videos Where Everyone knows EVERYTHING..... That's Why I come Here to ICHIBAN.... This Guy is the most informative and Honest. He Puts All the other Motorcycle Channels to Shame...Even HARLEY DAVIDSON.....The one thing that has really helped me the most and I couldn't find any Information anywhere was on POLARITY GREASE.... My Volt Range has jumped up Considerably and the Power my Produces is just unbelievable....Take my Word on it.

Flicking thru a Snap-off catalog yesterday and saw them in there, bit pricey though but worth it . Watch the Chinese knock them off.

My cheap aftermarket shocks don't list how many drops / mL of oil they need. Is there a way to determine how much oil I should add without any manufacturer specifications?

Bad ass! I need to do the shocks on my John Deere Cyclone. They too are the skookum black bodied, high pressure, nitrogen filled type. I was a little apprehensive until I saw this quick tutorial.

I have the cyclones 250 brother...the challenger. And YES...now I also can rebuild my shock absorbers as well.....I hope it will now handle better that it (“three wheeled shopping cart full of bowling balls going down hill”) It handles now..

Hey! not sure if the seal kit is still available, but Iève got an 82 xj650 maxim that needs the rears re-built! cant find the kit anywhere...

What grade of bike-floss should I order for polishing the inside of my springs on my 1978 suzuki GT250? I've heard that 80Grade can cause warpage which might affect cornering on ice at anything over 100mph... Can anyone confirm what grade I should use

I am assuming you changed the copper gasket for the oil drain screw, or can we just paint it with some copper gasket paint?

That's not Loctite. It's liquid paper for correction fluid. My wife spotted it right away.
