When I was 17, I overhauled a 4g63 from an Evo3 with little to no knowledge of what am I doing and if what I'm doing is right. All I know is that the Evo3 is mine now and the engine is still purring like brand new

I’m seeing this 2 years later from when posted and I’m so glad I found a very clean 08 lancer DE. this video is gonna make the engine maintenance/over haul very easy I’m tempted to buy a used engine and completely go off of his parts list and specs and want to make the same amount of power out of a base model lancer. if this is the motor he put in his camo evo X, then this engine made 703 hp witch is mind boggling but for now I gotta see if this rod knock engine is completely toasted or salvage-able for another 6 months to a year work horse engine till I get the funds up for a build. it’s crazy how sponsorships and every follower helps so much I wish he could be able to read this and give me some pointers or just chat with me but none the less this was an amazing video!

I have so much respect for you, that you do this all by yourself. I mean... There are so many evo channels out there but yours is so different to all of them. The process of learning by failure is something we all need to face at some point and to learn all these things with you (and even on my evo #AYCPumpFailsEverywhereOnThePlanet).. It's just amazing! Keep up the good work Devin, you're a great guy. Greetings from Germany.

Ok so by watching the full length of this video. I realized that the there isn't any seperate Spark Plug Oil Well Gaskets/Sealer for the Spark Plug Holes (usually located underneath the Cylinder Head Assembly) or on a seperate Rocker Arm assembly as is with alot of older SOHC models of 90s vehicles. The entire Valve Cover itself has the Valve Cover Gasket that performs both functions (both seals the Valve Cover to the Cylnder Head Assembly and seals the Oil Spark Plug Wells)...thank you so so much for making this video and helping me better understand the intracacies of my 4B12. now I don't have to ask EricTheCarGuy if my Engine Platform has Gaskets/Spark Plugs for my Spark Plug Oil Wells 🙇‍♂️

Great vid! Just finished my rebuild recently. Similar parts and overbore. Just wondering what machine shop you went to? I'm from Washington too so it's cool seeing a local put in work!
