How to REALLY Build Decks in the Digimon TCG | Digimon Card Game (2020)
Building competitive decks is hard, but anyone is capable of great things in the Digimon TCG. Here are the things that playing years of competitive card games has taught me about building decks and how I apply them to the Digimon TCG. Hope they help.

I know absolutely nothing about the digimon tcg but i do love the franchise so im exited for this new card game i hope it blows up and becomes really popular
I remember to see this video the last year after seeing a couple of starter decks on my LGS. One of my friends suggested to buy them so we can play some Digimon for fun...One year later I'm still grateful that I entered to this TCG and this beautiful community stay strong buddy and I hope to play against you someday. Greetings from Mexico.
I've never played a card game before besides just collecting pokemon cards a very long time ago. Really looking forward to this one. A great video and really helpful!

Same for me ! Except some basic early Yu-Gi-Oh when I was a little kid
Finally the answer I've been wanting to know if you can mix colors
Teaching 'how' is way more powerful than 'what' for longer term results. It's the difference between copy+pasting a new deck every set release and putting together something yourself that's fun, works, and feels extra rewarding. Even if you still end up with basically or literally a meta deck, if you got there on your own, it still feels good.
I cant wait for this, my stores super supportive about bringing in new games.

Best of luck! It’s gonna be a dope game!
Gonna be honest, getting more excited for this game with every video I watch. The options (pun unintended) for deckbuilding are limitless and the inherent swing of the memory gauge seems very cool.
Really nice video, I think videos like these are really what's needed for most players out there, it's a great overview and platform to jump off of and start brewing.

I have not enough thumbs to like this video with. Great work Steven. Great work.

You should make a video on your take of the longevity of the game. Do you think it has the potential to fall in the ranks of the top TCGs. I know it’s still early but Bandai seems to be going all out.
Honestly really love all of your content! #1 Digituber

Awesome video, very helpful advice and I love the way you approached it
of course! I played against myself with my build, but I could also play against strangers with my build on tabletop sim! Thanks!
Love your videos, could you make a video balancing all structure decks so they are all as close to equal strength as possible (Deck Profiles)? That would be So much fun to watch
Love the video, also wondering how much inspiritation you took from harris heller for that intro? its pretty damn spot on
This has been extremely helpful! Thanks :)
How do I identify a "win condition"? It can't just be the strongest card I can get my hands on, right? I have the bad habit of wanting to play with cards with characters I like in them...
03:36 , as a Diaboromon deck player. I felt that
This was really helpful thank you!
Wish they would take the cards out of the sleeves and reduce that glare.
I’m thinking of getting the first 3 starter decks and letting fate pull me towards whichever depending on what comes out of packs

Save yourself some money by using the a bit nerd digimon tcg simulator to which of the three start deck colours you enjoy most
One thing I don’t know is if the current Promo cards will be shipped to the west or not, because some of the cards there can be really good to certain decks.
DIGIMON TCG for life
Do cards rotate out of playability?
What are the blue Digimon the hybrid purple deck is playing in order to play the blue gamer and option cards?
@TrueChampionSteven
3 жыл бұрын
None just the blue Matt tamer. You can have both Digimon or Tamers satisfy the option color restriction
where can I find that cool spreadsheet ?
Honestly, if you can translate the mechanics from game to game, this is just generally good TCG advice, it will really help.
hi truechampionsteven i'm a beginner at digimon i haver starter deck but don't know to make good deck is a good trade card or no
Are cards with effects that include sending other cards to the bottom of the deck as bad as they seem? I'm not noticing a lot of cards (at least out of the 100 or so I have) that shuffle your deck leading me to believe that cards you bottom deck you may not see again in that match.
Timestamps would be great please? :)
I wanna make a Diaboromon deck, what cards will work?
How to go to Chinatown in Manhattan to get booster boxes and packs.😔😔
Thank you very much.
I just finally got into it...am I too late?
What's your opinion on running single copies of certain digimon? Is it dumb to not have at least 2 of a given card?
I went with woregraymon starter deck is it good I love omegamon
I'm just bought my first packs imma build a dobermon deck
I’m making a war game deck red and blue work great together

I have a quick question if you don't mind. Why run the max digitama of 5? Wouldn't running just 4 of the same card be more consistent?
@TrueChampionSteven
3 жыл бұрын
It can be but some games go on long and having that extra filter + free attacker is always helpful
Take a sip every time he says "Digimon TCG"
Do any of the testing options work for mac?
Apologies if this is addressed in the video, I haven't finished it, but is there any reason to not play max Digitama? They kinda feel like relatively free advantage, to which I don't see a downside.
@noriekawatsuki1226

It's too slow
@cdflood525
3 жыл бұрын
There is very little downside to them although as has been said, they can be slow. Having cheap level 3's like Biyomon in the Red starter deck can help speed up the deck. As well as that, if there is only one digitama that you would like in your deck, you could just play that digitama as opposed to playing your max of 5 to ensure that you always get the inherited effect that you like. Finally, an interesting alternative is to use digitama of a different colour to your main strategy. This means you have to hardplay Digimon but allows you to use option cards of a different colour. It depends a lot on your strategy however for most balanced and beginner friendly decks they help more often than they hurt.
2:50 9:22 you're welcome
So what exactly are the win conditions? He talks a lot about focussing on win conditions, but doesn't explain what they are.
@consoleman94
2 жыл бұрын
It depends on what deck you're playing. In Digimon, most of the decks are always trying to get to their Mega as soon as possible, and from their main gameplan can start. This is not the same for all decks of course, Security Control and Rookie Rush for example have different strategies, but for the most part, you wanna make sure that the cards in your deck are leading towards that win condition.
@TheJaguar1983
2 жыл бұрын
@@consoleman94 Thanks for the info, but I'm still struggling to understand what a "win condition" actually is, generally speaking. I understand having a general strategy, but not a "win condition". Maybe the issue is that the phrase is far too broad for me to comprehend.
Can I use Japanese text card in my English version of my deck?

Wild hair
So does these mean im going to build 6 decks for each color ?
@dracocrusher
3 жыл бұрын
I mean, not unless you want to? You only need a main deck of 50 cards and a side deck of up to 5 in-training Digimon, or Digitama. So you can specialize in one deck of one color if you want.
Do you have to have a digi egg in your deck?

I should mention a restriction was put in place recently, but it's only limiting the number of Level 5 Argomon cards and copies of "Hidden Potential Discovered" you can have. Specifically because Green is dominating tournaments a lot and speed evolution decks, specifically, have been kind-of wrecking things. And because Level 5 Argomon lets you play a Green Rookie for free while also being able to potentially evolve for free while Hidden Potential Discovered basically gives you the exact same effect for no cost, they were kind-of a serious problem, especially when more support to that kind-of playstyle was already on the way.
No detail of what ratios would be good No detail of what consitutes a ”win condition” Nice subtle point out that trainers can be teched in with zero issues 6/10 video. Little helpful not much
