Great news! The game just got announced for localization! We will be getting one set made up of half of the cards from the first 3 sets then the rest of those sets in another large set. Big hype

I truly hope that they open the tutorial app and create an actual game to play digitally when unable to play physically. I'm building decks but planning on playing practice matches with myself to get a feel for synergies 😂

I'm new to your channel & the game is already popular & sold in the US in English. I love your breakdown of the game rules, it's really cleared a lot up. My only issue is when you said that Digimon themselves don't have security affects & that's just not true!there are a number of cards that have security affects such as The black cards Gururumon & Nanimon: at the end of the battle, play this card without paying it's memory cost. This is also on the yellow Ankylomon purple card BlackGatomon & the red card Graymon to name the ones I personally own. I'm looking for how to use the rush ability properly personally. Again the rest of this was super helpful & I really appreciate it, I'm glad I found your channel.

I’ve never been a Digimon fan myself, but it’s cool to see they got a new game! Also, I love how they’re using the Chrono System in this game. I really like that system and think it’s very unique and well made. Glad to see other games are picking up on it!

Might enter a tournament this weekend but I wasn’t able to get my hands on Double Diamond. Wondering if you could do a giga red deck (upgrade) type video.

question am I allowed to write down on a notepad revealed cards in my opponents hand, or i'm playing a green deck that is like aetherworks marvel with jagamon, and izzy and mimi and using those cards, and green memory boost to create an orginized stack on the bottom of my deck to cheat the big cost Digimon on when I reach that stack fairly quickly. I played a lot of games that allow you to write down revealed cards in players hands, or at the bottom of the deck.

Are the decks color locked or can I play any number of cards regardless of color in my deck?

I never even watched digimon growing up but the hatchery mechanic has solved a bit of a game design block I was having on my personal project for a few weeks now. Thank you so much for this!

Man this is a great move for any TCG player! Ive been comparing Vanguard Overdress with Digimon and from a casual user perspective, Digimon wins! Still optimistic about Vanguard tho..

So, if a security battle occurs and the security digimon dp is lower, the security digimons on deletion effect doesn't happen right?

if I attack a digimon or security digimon, while attacking can i use option cards like delete digimon or increase or decrease DP?

hwy i want to get into digimon tcg a lil bit, is ther something like a simulator or smthg to play on for the game?

Awesomely thorough. The only thing I think I missed that I can't find anywhere is how do you actually determine your security cards?

Security cards are picked from the top five of your deck after shuffling it. It is meant to be entirely random

My friend suggested this game to me I never knew it existed and he’s willing to give me a top 4 deck in the meta

If a digimon battle occurs with the attacking digimon winning and it has security plus effect but not piercing, does it still check for security?

Are these cards now out in English?

Wow! There's so much information, but I'm still very excited to play the game even if I keep it casual with budget decks and pre-cons like I'm doing with Pokemon right now.

@@savagegamer1681 valid. Honestly it's been a year and I've built 3 decks just to mess around with and I've only really updated 1 of them. I don't even play Digimon TCG enough to keep up with the booster sets. I was shocked to see Set 7 or 8 on the way when I stopped paying attention after like 4 lol

@@savagegamer1681 it's been a minute since I touched Digimon but I'm pretty sure the only way to block an attack is to have a digimon with blocker on your field. That's why people try to run at least 3 or 4 of them in their decks... assuming they still do that.

Actually you may also keep your digimon in the nursery area until you want to move it to the battle area(a kind of red strategy?)

Really helpful guide mate! It's quite complex at first and difficult to see how it's a game that could last very long at all. I just want to check, is there any limit on how many digimon can attack each turn?

Nope as long as they don’t have summon sickness and your mem gage is above 0 have at it

I see what you did there

I remember you talking about option cards that let you gain memory but at the end of your turn lose memory, and how those cards Interact with passing turn on zero. Could you please explain this again. This I believe will be the biggest confusion point later on in the games life.

If you block a digimon with additional security checks and the digimon you block with dies, what happens with the remaining checks? Would I be blocking the digimon and all the checks, or just one check? 🙏

ok so some things ive knoticed that he missed or didnt mention in the video. 1 the inheritable effect is in the box underneath the name text of the card. 2 there r many effects that r very simular to battle spirit effects like vengance being curse, or recover being holy life, or download being like the cost reduction every battle spirits card has. and some other things but those r things ive knoticed

For “on-play” effects... do their effects only activate for the turn that they are summoned? Or can their effects be activated once per turn, every single turn?

I mean, they activate when you play them. If you somehow put it back in your hand and put it back down it activates again.

For Omnimon, do you digivolve it off a Red OR a Blue, or are you actually stacking 2 Megas? I know in the old TCG it was an evolution off either MetalGarurumon OR WarGreymon, hence then questions.

Man...Yugioh used to be so simple back then. I wonder if this will be a roadblock for this game. I haven’t played a tcg in 13 years or so. The Digimon game seems to be pretty tactical. May try it out.

I’m having a problem with the naming conventions. For Meteor Shower [BT5-098], do I use Starmons [BT5-035] to play from hand? Because Meteor Shower strictly says to have “Starmon” in its name. Additionally, is ShootingStarmon applicable in the use of Meteor Shower?

I don't know if I'm just overlooking it, but I can't seem to find a rule online, in the included rules, or even this video. How many Digimon and Tamers are you allowed to have in play/in the battle area at once?

I’m curious if you have to stay with one color or can you use other colors like red and yellow together

You can mix colors with no issue evolutions are restricted to a color. Cant digivolve a red on top of a blue, as well as not being able to play option cards without having card of the matching color.

Security digimon can't use vengeance or any of their normal effects, for the matter

the only thing i don't understand fully is deck building, is it like magic where i can throw whatever colors i want into a deck or can i only play mono colors, like i want to build red black but is that illegal?

You can use as many colors in a deck as you wish. But it might cause problems with evolution mechanics as the Digimon need to be of same color in order to evolve.

Yoy draw one card per turn at your draw phase (except the player who starts first on his/her very first turn), on your main phase, you can draw more cards via digivolving or if a card you play has a "draw effect" when played. You can have all the cards you want in hand, there is no maximum hand size. Hope this helps.

So do you get a memory every turn or do cards give you memory???

You get memory by cards your opponent plays or if they pass you automatically gain 3 memory at your turn start. Also yes some cards can gain you memory.

I wish there was a Card Database for the Digimon TCG where you could build decks and test the deck so you could play with people that also have the app or the cards- I'm broke and cant buy Digimon cards ;-;

so if i only have active digimon and my oponent attacks, i cant block? (without the ability blocker) he does a security check directly?

Trying to learn the rules and wanted some clarification, particularly in regards to the nursery phase... 1. On-play effects do not trigger upon moving a digimon from the nursery to the battle area, but do they trigger when digivolving in the nursery area? 2. Do On-play effects trigger when the card you are playing is digivolved? Can effects that activite apon digivolving activate in the Nursery area? 3. The next action you take in the Nursery area (i.e. the turn after digivolving to Rookie), if the digimon occupying it is Lvl 3 do you have to move it to the battle area or can you digivolve it to Lvl 4 and so on while still in the Nursery area?

1) No. On Play effects never activate when evolving. They are literally on play. 2) This seems like the exact same question as 1, unless I'm not reading correctly. On Play effects never activate on evolution, and no effects whatsoever activate in raising area. Treat all cards in raising area as having no text. 3) At the start of every turn, if your raising area is occupied, you have the option of moving it to the battle area or doing nothing and going straight to main phase.
