    This has been the best explanation I came across for tires! Thanks! I’m looking to get some tires for my Jeep Wrangler. When you mentioned ‘LT’ and ‘P’ is there much of a difference between the two in performance if I plan to do light towing? Like pulling a motorcycle trailer or small camper.

    Question; have a 1997 GCM 1500 Savana, project van. Stock rims are 15x7, running LT235/75R15 currently. I would like to get a mild custom look with a fatter back tire, a little wider footprint, I would change rims, not planning on keeping the stock aluminum alloy. I don’t want to create any daily driver headaches just add some “cool”. What suggestions for rims and tires, prefer all terrain in back. Any suggestions for the front as well….thanks !!

    So I have a question. I have a LT 275/65R20 on my pickup. I am getting new wheels and my tires I have now rub on my fender wells, but not like crazy. I want a 20x9 wheel and a LT 285(because I’m getting 1 inch wider) /55R 20. So would that fit and not rub?

    Would 245/55/R19 be compatible with 2019 CRV? Iam changing the rims and the tire. The "specialist" suggested I can go with either 235/55/R19 or that can even try 245 a whole 10mm more thicker in width. Does he know what he's talking about? I actually would like to go with the 245 for I was told it would make for a more comfortable drive? Any help would be appreciated 🙏🏼

    Can you fit any tire dimensions, for as long as it's the right rim size? For example, for a car with 165/70R14 stock tyres, will a 185/70R14 tyre fit? I understand from the explanations in the vid, the 185/70 will have more width, and taller too.

  • @pm8198
    @pm8198 Жыл бұрын

    The explanation overall was accurate and clear for the most part but it contained a piece of misrepresented information that I am surprised no one in the comments has mentioned. Considering his clarity in explaining the other codes, I was surprised to hear the presenter repeatedly using the somewhat unspecific term "wheel-size" (did he mean diameter or circumference?) when referring to the wheels that should be used for a particular tyre. It didn't help either that in his diagrams, the circumference was was highlighted instead of the wheel's diameter. Thus, to clarify using one of his examples - 265/70R17 - the number 17 represents the diameter in inches of the wheel the tyre is designed to fit, and not its circumference.

  • @saulramirez1093

    @saulramirez1093

    4 жыл бұрын

    James Pratt it will. If you have sensors it will turn on. Because back wheels are bigger you might see a huge difference in driving comfortability. I read somewhere that bigger size can mean less mpg and other things. It’s best to keep all the same or maybe just the tire change a bit. And since you want bigger, you might have to lift it I had to lift might truck 3 inches because new wheels wouldn’t fit right. The front ones would scrape when turning and back ones would have no space. It’s all good now though
