How to read tachograph printouts (Truck #19)
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
A while ago I made a video on how to use tachographs but I didn't do anything regarding the printouts. So here is a video on how to read the different sections contained with in them.

This was perfect for me, I'm a new driver, and wasn't shown about reading all the symbols at the bottom. Thank you for this
That was a fantastic easy to understand explanation. 👏
Thanks a million for this video, was worried about the error section. As it had driving with no card and I thought it was related to me, and I couldnt remember the activities I did at the dates the print out showed and like that it was shunter stuff. But I felt like I was the last driver in it so it had to be me. However this cleared it up. 👍👍
Well laid out video and explained in very good detail 👍

Thanks.
Hi! I'm a new driver. This video is very helpfull, but still have a bit different printout and lots of questions. some pictogramms are not understandable, but one of questions is this: Between the line of printout day and vehicle reg line I've two entries shown on one days printout, but next days only one. Thanks, great video btw. :)
Good simple explanation
That music at the beginning confused me for a sec, Thought I was watching KevTee haha Good video btw learnt a few new things despite thinking I was quite familiar with it all

It would purely be coincidental, I don't think I've seen any of his vids before.
Thank you 👍👍
Any chance you could do a video of what to put on the back of print out for an infringement filing out non on youtube
Thank you
Very helpful and informative
I'm here because I'm doing my CPC but I've never actually seen a digital tachograph. It's kind of hard to take the info onboard if I can't envisage what it looks like. I was wondering where said printout comes from. The dash? a computer in the office? I really wasn't sure. I'm still wondering though... If a digital tacho holds 28 days of info, then what? Do I need to empty it onto a computer, or what? Thanks for the video, this does help.

Hi, the printout in the thumbnail and quickly seen in the video can be seen coming out the right hand side of the tachograph unit. A roll of paper lives in a tray that slots into the tacho unit. The cards themselves can hold many months of data but legally require downloading at least once every 28 days usually its sooner than that. This will be done in the transport office.
You should start your own CPC training. Learn something new every day.

I'm really not the teaching sort.
Hi great video, have u got any idea why my previous days driving hours hasn't reset when i put my card in ?
@DTWTheWanderingMuzungu
Жыл бұрын
Most likely: 1: you’ve had less than 9 hours daily rest. 2: you’ve had less than 11 hours daily rest because you’ve used up all your 9 hour breaks. 3: you’ve done your manual entry wrong causing one of the two scenarios above.
Thanks for the video and explanation. What is the question mark in the totals?

It means unknown, usually in reference to periods when the tacho card was not inserted into the unit so it doesn't know what was happening then.
Well explained but there is another company who make tachographs. The company is called sroneridge and we use them. The print out is very similar though so was still helpful

I've never seen a Stoneridge tachograph. However I have seen a VDO tachograph, they are awkward the first time you see one because they have no eject button...
where can i get a book that has all the symbols on and the information about the tacho ?

SIB- FISHER-UK As far as I know there isn't any definitive books or info anywhere it's largely just find out what you can and then learn by trial and error.
I am driving for 1 year and today I heard that if i print out the tacho I have to keep all the print out for 28 days. Is this true?

If it’s for your own info you can do what you want. If it’s for legal documentation such as an infringement then yes you need to hold on to it for 28 days.

@@DTWTheWanderingMuzungu Thank you mate.
How do I get a detailed speed analysis printout from the tachograph?
@DTWTheWanderingMuzungu

STEPHEN TAYLOR There’s a menu buried in there somewhere it’s been a few years since I’ve gone through them. I think it’s in the printout for vehicle option then go to a menu that has speed, v-graph or words to that effect.
Got a few bell ends in work telling me to use question mark as my rest when doing a manual entry the following day?
@DTWTheWanderingMuzungu

No don’t do that. Question mark means unknown activity but you know you’ve been on rest.

@@DTWTheWanderingMuzungu Yes,but all their drivers do this and none get infringements! I think it’s more to do with their system being a bit fcked up! They tried giving me a load of waffle about the question mark !
Thanks for this video but if you go to 6:09 min of video i do not understand can you please reply me regarding this thanks

Time overlap. I had to swap trucks and the clocks on the two trucks were slightly different. The clock in the truck I got into was running behind the other truck so when I put my tacho card in it caused a time overlap. eg Tacho removed at 16:47 and put in at 16:46.
Any speed for the day print out ?
@DTWTheWanderingMuzungu

No, speed graph printouts are a different option in the menu.
How come it's showing 17 hours break time when you worked just over 7 hours?
@DTWTheWanderingMuzungu
3 жыл бұрын
17 + 7 =24 everything seems in order to me. I was working night shifts at this time also so this is the last half of one shift and the first half of another with 17 hour daily rest in between.
The ! means “event”
Iv still got nee idea bro lol
