Engine live data blog: www.iamcarhacker.com/engine-l...
Throughout the video, we'll be covering different types of live data that your car's engine generates. We'll start by discussing the basics such as RPM and vehicle speed, and then move on to more complex data such as oxygen sensor data, fuel trims, and air to fuel ratio.
RPM is one of the most crucial parameters that we'll be discussing, as it indicates how fast the engine is spinning. We'll demonstrate how you can use the OBD2 scanner to read the RPM and understand what it means in the context of your vehicle.
Vehicle speed is another important parameter that we'll be discussing in this video. This data shows how fast your vehicle is traveling and is essential for monitoring your car's performance and ensuring safe driving conditions.
We'll also explore oxygen sensor data, which is critical for maintaining your car's emission control system. The oxygen sensor provides feedback to your car's engine control module (ECM) on the amount of oxygen present in the exhaust gases. By interpreting this data, you can identify any issues with the air-fuel mixture in your engine.
Fuel trims are another essential parameter that we'll cover in this video. They refer to the adjustments made by the ECM to the air-fuel mixture based on the readings from the oxygen sensor. We'll explain how to read and interpret this data to determine if your car's engine is running too rich or too lean.
Lastly, we'll dive into air to fuel ratio, which is the ratio of air to fuel in your car's engine. This data is crucial for ensuring optimal engine performance and reducing emissions. We'll explain how to use the OBD2 scanner to monitor this parameter and how to adjust it if necessary.
So sit back, relax, and join us as we explore the fascinating world of engine live data and OBD2 scanners. By the end of this video, you'll have a better understanding of how to read and interpret live engine data using an OBD2 scanner, which will help you save money on car repairs and keep your vehicle running smoothly.

You're very welcome!
I wondered where to start when reading live data and doing my own diagnostics and this is the perfect place. Thank you so being so thorough and giving on point explanations and examples of possible causes!

Is it possible to test turbo actuator with car scanner pro?
Can you see the engine temperature with this app?
Thank you so much for the video. what would it mean if my vehicle's short term fuel trim = -8.6% and LTFT = -14.1% when idling at 750RPM? I am trying to figure out why the vehicle stutters and turns off randomly. Not sure if the fuel trim has anything to do about it, that's why I am asking. Thank you again.

Positive is lean and negative is rich.

thanks. any more information on how to get it back to normal. I know that a vague question, but I don't know where to start.@@user-cw7pm4vc1x

Pick one of these 2 to start: kzread.info/dash/bejne/dY6VuNiRYrngc6Q.html&t I used blue one. And app is called: Car Scanner ELM OBD2
Hello, how can we understand the accuracy and inaccuracy of live data?

Hi I am working on more detailed guide for live data but either the data is general for all brands like fuel trims. If you are out of +-10%, you have issue. But for some data, they can vary from model to model and researching the good data values for that model will be neccesarry.
Am I driving the car to get live data or just starting it?

They display current values so engine needs to be running to read most of them
