Hey can I say amazing information, thank you lots just a question so when I invest the money , I just get paid the interest semi annually and get the whole lot after the tenure or I have to wait till the bonds to get the whole amount together with interest

@@maryannemuthoni5898 Hello, thank you. Typically, you will get paid the interest semi-annually; and at the end of the period receive the original amount that you invested (plus the final interest payment)

how will I know if I have been given a discount hence a 10% tax deduction?

Thank you fot explaining really well. If i bid a bond, lets say 50k and when its successful the cash amount indicated is 54k..is that a premium? Will they trade with 50k or 54k? When it matures, do i get 50k or 54k?

Hello, they have an application process that includes physical documents (we have a video on the same topic); however, during this period of COVID-19; the CBK would be best placed to advise you on whether they have an alternative method.

Hello, you would need to confirm if you can open one with your Bank, given you are outside the country and cannot open one with CBK.

in the application for treasury bonds form, where do i write the amount i want to invest> There is a box i am supposed to fill 'TOTAL FACE VALUE' what am i supposed to enter there? is it the amount i am supposed to invest with the Bank?

No it simply means your investment will not be accepted. You will not be able to put money into that particular Bond.
