Great job! I did this when I converted my Gen1 Tacoma to 4runner leather seats and it was way easier than I thought it be! I did replace the foam with new OEM though. My back used to hurt after an hour of driving but now a trip from SF to Tahoe is no problemo!

For those who own a newer models that comes with Airbags, be real careful at the time you remove the seat from it position on the floor due to the cable that is hooked to the floor and also with the wiring, I do recommend disconnect the battery and even with that precaution make sure you have a radio with a security code, which you will need it at the time you hooked the power back

Remember you also need to discharge the air bag capacitor as well… just removing the battery isn’t enough… I’ve popped more than my share of air bags forgetting to discharge the cap.

After watching the console mock up video, I searched for replacement seats for your rig. I couldn't find the correct color and the seats weren't in any better shape than what you had. These turned out great.

Wow, thank you so much for sharing this video. I really like the fact of how you go into detail of how to install the hog rings with hog ring pliers. I’ve been really looking to replace the seat covers on my 32 year old car the only thing I was worried about was the seat foam whether I get it right or not, what type of leather did you use exactly? I heard that NAPA leather is the best either that or full grain leather.

Excellent thanks! I plan to do mine after receiving the leather. I will do one seat per weekend. Starting with the passenger seat first. The next weekend should go smoother with the driver's side seat. Thank you.

That would be smart. I just did this and started with my passenger seat, and it ended up taking me way longer due to the heating elements sewn in. I was driving my kids around in the back seat for days but thankfully I still had the drivers seat untouched!

Michael, did you buy the seat fabric already sewn together into a cover, or did you have Corrie sew it up for you? I ask because I am going to be redoing the seats in both my Bronco and my wife’s 4Runner. Also while I’m in there we are going to be adding heated seats along with full power adjustments.
