This is almost like ASMR... So relaxing
I've been looking for something like this for ages!! AGES!!
Beautiful work
Chairs so wonderful, you really had to bring them to a professional
Thanks, you have revealed somethingI wasn't aware of and so recovering my own chairs will be a lot easier now. Just need to jot down staple thickness and see if we have them locally. Now to go find old pair of husband's golf gloves.

I don’t really see a need for those gloves! I’ve done upholstery 40+ years without them.

@@Smeleln One thumb up, all I could give; I’d give 5 if I could, very funny. Nice!
Do you have a source for authentic leather and fabric for Danish modern furniture? I am having a hard time locating the proper material.
If you’re still here, what material are you using, and where do you get it? Thank you!
I sure as hell wish’d you would have told me what you were doing and what materials you were using. Silent movies went out of business 100 years ago!
What are you stapling into and why do you cut that whit stuff flush on some sides and not on others?
Do you cut a hole in the sides to reattach the back?
what kind of foam to be use and what is the thik ness for danish chairs for seat and back
Where do I find the curved plywood to replace a broken one
Do you ever use cord when upholstering
😍
Sorry my friend back to the school
It is like watching grass grow. A little creepy.

How did you take the back rest off?

This is my question, too. I cannot seem to find where I can safely pull apart the chair to reupholster the back. The seat? No problem.
Are you showing a set when we need to see one only please
The back rest of my chairs cannot be removed from the structure. How do i approach this situation?

kzread.info/dash/bejne/poaCzJdrptTKj5M.html The same way to remove the wooden cap. Then unscrew from both sides. Then gently but firmly push one leg away from the back board until both dowels are free from their holes.

Oh, the drama
I may have liked it better if you showed how you deconstructed the chairs first.

You take out the wood plugs (if any) and unscrew the seats and backs from the frame, pull out all the old staples and remove the crusty dusty old foam. Be prepared to put new plugs in as sometimes you just have to damage them to get them out, especially if they’re evenly flat with the wood surface.

@@jenblackwood4430 what would you recommend if the plugs were secured with glue and now the glue is 50 years old and stuck in the head of the screws? 😭
Make it wooden with the help of the Woodglut instructions.
This is rather weird. Cat got your tongue?
Your commentary game... is weak. Fun vid though.
Aren’t you going to even talk?
This is creepy
Hmm, certainly not pro upholstery lesson here! May look good to someone with little know how but the work will not last long sewing faux types vinyl by hand 🤣 Anyhow good professional upholsterer would not always need to take the chair apart to achieve this.

Any remotely professional upholster would always take the chair apart and do this properly. The process is still the same. Regardless of materials used.
