Simply... Super Mario!. I am impressed. (Not forgetting wife and kids). Beside learning multiple language, having a good imagination is a solid foundation for your kids.

Very very good advise. Learning danish alone is so hard I have read hundreds of book for and with our children. I have loved every single minute of it. And yes our oldest at 12 is now fluent in english, but she did not know swedish. So I just put a lot of nice swedish pop into our spotify account and in the last 1/2 year she has learned Swedish to get by. Listening is learning. And singing is great. Singing is loved in denmark. Few sing, but everybody who sings is liked. Also the kids like it. I made up silly songs when the kids were younger and we had a laugh :)

I really loved your video. I am expecting my first child. We will have a similar situation. I am from Hungary, so I will speak Hungarian to the baby. My husband is Taiwanese and Brazilian. He decided to speak Mandarin to the baby. We live in Brazil, so our third language is Portuguese. And right now, at home, we speak English. Your video helped me with the third/fourth language situation. I am a bit worried about what is gonna be our language when we are all together, especially when the baby is older, and we can really interact and play together. Now I think the best would be Portuguese since that is the majority language that they also should learn well. I am curious to know when your children started to have contact with the Danish language? I am a bit afraid that if I introduce Portuguese too early they will prefer it over Mandarin and Hungarian since Portuguese will be the language in school, with their friends etc. Do you think it is important that they have a good basis in two languages before introducing a third language? I also don't worry about English, as you also mentioned. I am pretty sure they will not have problems learning it from games, school or even us since we will speak it in front of them occasionally.

Thanks! In our case we started with Danish when the kids were 8-9 months (started day care). It took a bit longer but now my 4,5 year old is very good/normal in the three languages and thinking about starting with English in the next year

A really interesting video. I'm bilingual from childhood, my mum is English and my dad is Greek and my parents only used their native language. However we didn't live in a country with a third language so it was easier for us compared to your children and family in general.

I think video content has influenced the kid more than native speaking, as so far the kid's Spanish seems to be more fluent, Estonian has a strong accent. But why Spanish and Estonian? Learning languages is surely a useful skill to have, but neither of the languages seem actually relevant in the Danish context.

His Estonian is better than the video example, but it's been a pain to find a time to film him and her without showing their faces 🙈 I teach him Spanish as it's a very useful language for a million reasons, Estonian is more niche but it's important for my wife and I support her
