This video was geared towards small start up farmers who are raising less than 200 chicks at a time. Farmers who are raising more than 500 chicks will have a different setup and methods of raising chicks.
The chicks in this video were Potch Koekoek, these tips and procedures can be used for any breed. Potch Koekoek are an indigenous South African breed, they are hardy and are duel purpose breed, they are mainly bred for meat and are average layers.
