You are a genius. Did the brick eventually sink after the next rainfail? I would have add more surface structure to minimize the sinking effect..

Thanks for showing how it really is! Ours settled after filling, so I'll be using your technique to hopefully avoid having to drain. Also, thank you for your service, sir!
