Our pool is a 12ft x 30inch above ground, the type you get from a department store. It is 1.47inches out, is this ok? It’s on a concrete slab so no chance of it sinking further on either side?
I am just now filling my pool, and as I go around with a measuring tape, the water level varies from about 4" on the low side to a little over 5" at the highest point. I will cry if I have to drain it, take down the new liner and start over, but I want to do it right. Is that an acceptable level of variation?
We just installed a intex Xtr 5,5m pool and it’s 3,5inch out of level. We are planning on leveling the ground next year because they only give a couple of days more of warm weather here and then its going to get much colder here. I Cannes its leaning to the lower side, burning hope it will hold this year.
You mention you have videos showing how to fix the unlevel pool after draining but I cannot find any. Do you have one showing a good way to level up a low side?
I just installed my 16x48 Coleman pool. I had to dig the high side down around 6inchs to level the ground. My question is the dip around the edge of the pool is it okay to fill it with sand or with that damage my pool. The dip goes about half way around both sides of the pool. What would be your professional opinion on how to take care of the dip. Im nerves it's going to fill with water when it rains.
My largest I can fit is a 15ft round, so does a 2 in max variance apply?
Thanks chad! Been watching your videos. Helped me a ton. You do an excellent job on explaining things. I wish your company was in my area. I would’ve hired you instantly so I didn’t have to struggle.

Your videos are awesome. Good job. Wish you were up north....
Hi there. We are about to set up a bestway 4.12 x 2.01 x 1.2 rectangular pool on our concrete patio. We are putting down eva interlocking pads as a base. The last metre of the pool length ways dips down about 2.5cm/an inch, so by your calculations should be fine. We are thinking of doubling or tripling up on the interlocking pads at this bottom end though to level it as much as possible, or even placing tiles down and then the foam pads. So you think this will work? Any help would be greatly appreciated?
Thank you for posting. This was very helpful to know.
Thank you very much for all of the great information. I will get in there and reduce the amount of sand.
Hi there, how do you feel about using styrofoam sheets on top of sand that was graded and leveled? We just put our 18 ft pool up this past weekend, and we had to dig out the side of a dip in the yard. Unfortunately, the backside of the pool seems to be sinking in extremely soft ground that we thought we removed and replaced when leveling, but the back of the yard is very wet in general. So the pool itself is off by about 3 1/2 inches. We realize we need to drain it, do you have any suggestions for fixing the very wet portion of where the pool will sit? Unfortunately this is the only spot for it, there is no room for it to move anywhere else in the small yard. Thank you.
I'm planning to inatall a pool, but my space is down 1.5 inch on the 12 feet size, the pool is 22 x 12, so is it still safe? btw I'm planning to set it on my rooftop garden
I have to take down and re-level mine. how long can the liner be out if water. Would it be good to fold up in a tote and fill the tote with water?
I used wood shims below the feet to level out the rails is that okay?
