Cutting your lace seems to be up there in the scariest things to do when I your wig. But I promise- it really isn’t as scary as you think!! Pinking shears are actually used by sewers to prevent fraying of seams.

Very useful info. Thanks! I understand people being afraid of cutting laces because of the cost of he pieces, but they should practice a little beforehand with other very fine fabrics.

It's the only downside of that collection, I think.
My Simmer Elite which I only wore a few times has frayed and I trimmed it , but has frayed more to where the hair is. What do I do now? 😢 Thank you.

There are anti-fraying products (used for fabric). Search it here in KZread and you will find videos that show how different people deal with that issue.
Amanda, I bought Rachel Lite around 18 months ago(paid a fortune for it here in Australia)and it is still literally sitting in its box. I absolutely need to whip it out within the next week or 2 because my beloved Belle Madame Leonora is on its last legs(sob!). To say that I am beyond petrified of trimming Rachel's lace is an understatement. I wish I was just being dramatic but I can assure you that I'm not. I've watched a lot of wig lace trimming but I nothing has changed - I still tremble with fear. I have pinking shears, good ones, but I don't have any decent scissors like you also use in your video(do you have a link for those btw?). Now, I watched carefully but due to so much hair being in the way of the camera, I can't make out where you first started to trim at the beginning. I know you left the lace around the ear tabs as it was quite good but can you tell me(again) exactly where on the wig lace did you do your very first trim? I apologise for being so difficult. x

Aw I know, it can be scary! Im not too sure how to accurately explain lol. I started cutting sort of right where the ear tab was ending. Hope that kind of makes sense.
