Who the fuck hit dislike for this video?! This trick worked like a charm. I had my windshield tinted 2 1/2 weeks ago. In NJ we have 2 ways to get inspected. 1 local DMV for free or local garage for $60 at least where I went. The state are sloppy bastards, so of course I used private garage. I spoke to the owner and told him I have a sunscreen and the is a particular way to put the sticker on and if I could put it on while he watches he said no problem and I threw him $10 for lunch. So I wore a white tshirt under my uniform and I said here's the trick and applied the sticker several time to my tshirt, mind u in nj if u remove the sticker from a window and u don't use heat the sick will peel in areas and say void all over the sticker and ruin the sticker, but usually with heat that can be avoided. Now here's the kicker, I had to have the windshield redone under the warranty yesterday, there were some smudges between the tint and windshield. I told the tinter what I did and he said, hmmm really, never heard of that. He pealed it off easier than peeling a banana. He said holy shit, that was awesome, he asked me again exactly what I did. He gave me the sticker to hold and I attached the sticker to a ups label skin, u know when u peel a label off for a ups package and throw away the shiny piece, well I kept the piece and stuck it to it and placed it in my owner's manual book so it would lay flat and I can reapply it in a couple days when the tint cures. THANK U VERY MUCH FOR THE VIDEO!!! If u thought of this you're a fucking genius, if u didn't your a great dude for passing this on and the kinda guy I would give my business to if I was in your area.

Is it true that here in nj you need to cut cut your tint area where the inspection sticker is to get a new one? I need to do mine soon and they told me I would need to cut a specific size square that means that I need to cut my tint is it true? My inspection sticker is on top of my tint so it doesn’t make sense to ruin my tint 😢

Sadly my tint guy said that since its ceramic film that the sticker would peel off I didn’t want to gamble $250 on it.

Here in Pennsylvania the entire surface has glue :( gonna get llumar air 80 clear film for uv and heat rejection this weekend, hopefully this trick helps with my safety sticker (2019 Honda Pilot) gotta figure out my easy pass too .... I really don’t want to drill the front bumper (no front plates required in Pennsylvania)or stick the transponder on the windshield over UV film

I have my windshield tinted with Llumar Air 80 and you would never know it's tinted by looking at it but it sure does cut down on the heat! Also cuts glare too, day and night.

Charles Boudreaux i’m getting llumar air 80 this Friday. Here in Pennsylvania the safety sticker surface is entirely glue....I hope this trick works ..... now I gotta figure out how to mount the ez pass.... I really don’t want to stick it over the clear film or drill my front bumper(no front license plate required in Pennsylvania) any tips?

Apologies to all....didn't see the reference to toll tag. They might be a wee bit more difficult. Also, it wasn't mentioned in the film...you cannot place a Texas registration sticker anywhere but the lower left corner of the windshield.

How did you ever think of that?

in NJ, the dmv applies the sticker.

Same in mass. I just gently pry the sticker off every time right before I come in to get the car inspected so they don’t damage the tinted scraping it off

i'm moving to texas in a few weeks and I have 50% on my windshield. I just saw there are annual vehicle inspections there and I need to do one right away to change my registration. and apparently no tint is allowed on the windshield except for a visor at 25 :( :( :( so should I just remove the whole windshield tint before my inspection? am I reading these laws correctly?

I wouldn't, find a corner shop that does the $7 state inspections. They might be more likely to let you through with a pass. Make sure everything else works.

Get a "doctors note" and you'll be good to go.

What tint percentage is the windshield

Use straight cling film. Place reg sticker and toll tag onto the film, cut it out, place on windshield.

Clear tint in windshields are legal (over 70% VLT).

@@TexasTintMasters oh, that makes sense... i purchased a car with the windshield tinted already last year but now it's not passing inspection... and the trade in had the windshield tinted, but i was able to get inspection stickers from the dealer the past 5 years...

I wax the windshield or glass before putting the sticker. Few days ago I removed a two years old sticker in a single piece without any mess. All my cars don't have any film tint or whatsoever, so I don't know if the wax may affect some afetermarket tint.

After I got my windshield tinted, the shop had put like a clear tape thing where your tag would normally go that way you can put it over. Mine just fell off and I still have 4 months till I get my car registered for the 2nd time. So ima try and clean off where they had it and hopefully it sticks and doesnt fall off again.
