I place the lens on the index finger of my dominant hand, irrespective of whether I am inserting it into my left or right eye. I only pull down my lower eyelid, not the upper one, saving time in the process. ( I have used soft contact lenses for 49,5 år).

i just line up my contact and then look away put it in and blink alot then it goes onto my pupil

This is bloody difficult.. Hardest thing I ever tried in my life.. And it's frustrating that I can't put my damn thing intro my eyes

Seriously! Took about 15-20 min getting my right one in n I messed around about 10 on my left side n thought lemme go to a KZread tutorial n see if there’s any tricks. Watched him for the one time he popped it in his eyeball tried it with my left n bam! Stuck right on there! lol I was so happy! Now hopefully it won’t be a struggle next time. Now getting them out again I gotta watch for a better way lol

I first tried contacts when I was about 12 and I struggled bad getting them in and taking them out. Shortly after I gave up on contacts. I’m almost 33 and I finally gave contacts another shot. Between your videos and the help of my eye doctor I’m finally able to put in and take out my contacts! I’ve worn glasses since second grade and there’s no better feeling for glasses wearers than to be able to see without having to wear glasses! Thank you for your helpful videos!

I’m a 48 year old new contact wearer. I was in the training in the office for 2 hours and still only got one in. It was so frustrating. It took me 10 minutes after watching this video! Thank you soo much!!! Invaluable content!!!

Your tip to leave it a second or two on my cornea before closing my eyelids is a LIFESAVER! After struggling past 3-4 mornings to put the lenses in (I'm beginner to lenses), this tip actually made me put them in THE FIRST TRY! Thank you so much :)

60 years old and first contacts ever yesterday. Girl that trained me spent about 5 minutes with me and then left the room and left me to my own devices. 30 minutes later I have them both I and she comes back and told me good job and sent me on my way. 30 minutes of frustration today led me to your video and Bam! Got both sides in first try using your method! Wooohooo! Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video.

This is my second day of wearing contacts, it only took me 10 minutes which is a big difference from 1 hour yesterday. Thankyou so much!

Thank you for this! I found that looking away to first put the contact in and then looking straight helped me out but I would’ve never figured that out without this video. Also taking them out last night while insanely exhausted and no patience was easy with your help!

This is my first time having contacts and it’s definitely tricky at this stage but this video helped so much! The person who did my training was very nice and helpful but didn’t really give me a lot of information, for example I didn’t even know that the tick mark on my lenses should point down, so thank you for adding that detail :D

The first few time I put contacts in it took me more than 3 hours. I watched your video and I got them in on the first or second try. This is a lifesaver

goodness, the hint at the end to move the eye ball totowards where the contact lens is was a HUGE help. a frustrating 30 minute affair turned into 5 easy minutes. thank you good doctor.

It took 15 to 20 minutes to put in my contacts at the eye doctors and about the same to take them out. I was pretty excited about the results and it was wonderful to see without glasses. However, when I got home, I forgot everything that I learned at the eye doctors lol This tutorial was very helpful. Thank you.

Great tips! Exactly what happens to me when I attempt to the put a contact in. But my husband and I are tired of wearing glasses. Ready to make that transition! I know people who have been wearing contacts for 30 years. If they can do it, so can we. Practice makes perfection 👍

This, by faaaaar, is the best tutorial. Most accurate for beginners. Others just make it seem so easy makes you question if something's wrong with you.

Thanks a lot! Your video helped me. In my case, speed was the biggest issue, and now that I let it take a little more time to adhere, it was a lot easier! Before watching this video, I was considering giving up on contacts. 😅 It was my second time putting them on.

I tried contacts at 55 years old and had a lot of difficulty. After watching this video I was able to get my contacts in and out without too much trouble His instructions and illustration are so much better than the instructions I received at my eye doctor Thank You for these videos

I watched your video before trying to wear my soft contact lenses for the very first time and I must say it was super smooth...could get both in within 10mins...Thankyouu so much for such clear set of instructions. this is my first week with contacts from glasses and the first day at the office i could not put them in at all for 40+ minutes and my doctor just put them in for me . I kept trying for hours at home and trust me just practice and your eye will get used to it. that is the only way. wether you loose some lenses , start getting mad at yourself that’s all a part of the process. now i put them in 1-2 tries maybe 3 if my hands are slippery

I work for an eye doctor's. I started wearing contacts so I can instruct patients on how to put them in as well. Your tips just helped me a ton putting them in my own eyes, so maybe soon I can help future contact wearers!

Thank you so much man I had an appointment to put in the contacts and I just couldn’t because the “teacher” said I should just lift up the top eye lid and look up then put it in but I kept in blinking. Thanks so much because today I tried again and a new person helped me out in my contacts and using your technique I was able to put them in easily after a few tries and then I was able to repeat the process for another 2 times with no problems. I cant thank you enough thanks so much.

Also thank you for pointing out the little marker line and to place contact in eye with it at bottom of the lense. I thought it was a defect in my lenses!!

Thank you I had a good laugh when I saw your eye rolling around. Oh boy was this difficult. I lost it. I thought it was stuck in my eye, and it drove me nuts. lol... You showed some really good pointers that I forgot that the doctor showed me in his office a long time ago. No contact lenses work for me for ocular gvhd and severe dry eye. The scleral lenses were killing me so I gave the daily ones a try again. I realized that they do not hurt as much as sclerals. I just need to learn how to take them out and put them in. I just know that they tend to feel uncomfortable so I have to put drops in my eyes every fifteen minutes. I wish there was a way around this.

Glad it could help. That feeling is actually pretty common. Sometimes it could mean the contact could be fitting a little loose and is moving around a bit.

It will help better and not get burning sensation in your eye is to put lubricant in your eye as well as a drop on to the contact lenses before you put the contacts.

Great job!

Before the video: Around 15-20 minutes. After the video: 1 minute. Two things learned, I should hold my eyes lids with my fingers, because I blink, second thing is that look directly into my eyes, it’s like a lego block fitting its right place ☺️

The first time I wore contacts was in 2005, my senior year in high school. I hadn’t wore them since 2010, and just started wearing them again a week ago. I have severely high astigmatism, and never was told to look for that line in the contact. Thanks for the tip.

mine keeps flipping back onto my finger no matter what i do. i can always get the left one in but the right one flips. do you have any tips for me?

Just remember that there is zero pain…I think when you are new that’s what makes you nervous…the barrier created between your finger and eye makes it absolutely painless…dont flinch.
