In this video lesson, GM Igor Smirnov teaches how to punish the early queen attacks (or Scholar's Mate tricks) in the Sicilian Defense, which might happen after the following moves: 1.e4 c5 2.Bc4 Nc6 3.Qf3 or 3.Qh5.
Early queen attack is an unsound and disrespectful attempt of your opponents to checkmate you within a few moves. You will learn how to brutally and mercilessly punish these tricks instead of defending passively.

    First game I played after watching vid and I got an early queen attack 🤣. Took the bishop then the queen then they resigned. Being prepared and aggressive definitely shook there confidence, they blundered the queen 👑

    Hey, thanks for this video! I just have one question which you did not cover. After Qg3, Bd6 doesn't the Queen just go back to h4 defended by the knight? This would lead to perpetual.

    With the nasty queen trap at 4:18 if white queen is stuck at b8 when you shut the black diagonal file for white queen with pawn to d6, would a good move for white be bishop to g5, in response if black knight goes to d7 to attack the white queen, then the white queen can take the pawn on d6 hence forcing her capture with black pawn e7, but in turn your black queen is being attacked by white bishop on g5, is this a good way for white to equalise the game in a way?

    Hello Sir, if you let the computer play the Sicilian Defense, that is 1.e4 c5, what will the computer's next moves after that? Does it also result in a draw?

  • @tiny_frost8
    @tiny_frost8 Жыл бұрын

    Hey Igor why can't we play Ne5 after Qf3? Forking queen and bishop, and defending the f7 square at the same time?, worst case scenario we pick up the bishop once the queen moves and end the attack

    Ne5 trades a knight for a bishop, but b5 forces a bishop move, and develops a piece giving you tempo, or if bishop takes, it just wins the bishop

    At Video time 3.55 mins, the Queen can safely move to C4 square and the queen doesn't get trapped. I assume a guy playing queen so early would also know his traps anyway.

    After queen C4 bishop A6 traps the queen. And I can say for sure the guys playing early queen attacks have only watched one 3 min video on it and certainly don't know these traps.

    If White plays Queen F3, is F5 viable? I've seen variations where it can lead to a discovered attack on the Queen and Black wining the Bishop.

    Many opponents try the Wayward Queen Attack against me and I use your trick to counterattack them. But after the move d5 threatens to capture the bishop and opens the diagonal for the light-squared bishop aiming at the queen, the opponent plays Qh5+ and I have to move my king either to e7 or d7. Because of this, I can't castle. Please make a video on this too...

    Qh3 is a big mistake, Re1 pinning the bishop is miles better. Still a losing exchange, but trading a rook for a bishop and having black's king out in the open is preferable to the absolute spanking in this video. Hoping for the opponent to make a blunder isn't the smartest way to play chess, but still, we can dream.
