Oh Lord...I just got my license 3 weeks ago and I was in panic the 1st time I needed to put gas,cuz I parked the car a little to far from the hose. I inserted my credit card and left it as I was inserting the gas pump,and couldn't reach out to enter my pin when needed..it was a total disaster 😒. My second time was less stressful. Wish me luck on my third one🙏

@@ButerWarrior44 because when a engine operated, it ignites gas with a mix of air to push the pistons using the spark plug. So there’s a risk that it could ignite a bunch of gas and that wouldn’t be good

@@blitzkriiegi1005 the reason is because the vapors in the petrol could get lit on fire by a spark of any kind from the fuel pump system as it produces static, there is literally some amount of gas constantly in the engine as the fuel injector is always ready to shoot as the engine fires multiple times per second, nothing to do with the actual engine, purely the electrical bits of the car, with diesel you more than likely have little to 0 chance of anything happening as diesel isn't nearly as flamable as petrol, though you never know

I have real PTSD from renting my first car. I needed gas and the gas meter was completely broken. The car I was driving had an active recall on the fuel pump and it showed. It told me I had no gas so I went to fill up 40 minutes before my trip and it immediately started spitting all over my clothes and onto the street. I’m a 21 year old man lol nothing ever put fear into my heart unlike that.

man that happened to me, I was a young teen watching the gas while my mom ran inside to grab some chips. I had no clue what to do when it stopped because I wasn’t quite the age to get a car and ended up spilling gas on myself. gas stations scare me a little now

I’m just watching this because I never knew you could just let the hose keep running and know when to stop by itself. Ima do that now😂I never tried filling it up like that cuz I thought it would over flow so I always just put $25 of gas and comes up to 3/4 of the tank

Also, I’m some cars where it tells you how much fuel/gas you have left in your tank there is that fill up symbol with an arrow, that arrow points to which side to fill up you car Here in Australia, you fill up your car yourself and then go inside the gas station to pay after filling up how much you want or need, you can pay at the pump here, but hardly anyone does that. Another tip, when you take off the gas cap, you can place it on the door thingy, there is a holder built in to it so it’s not just hanging there

Usually I smell the gas inside the now I come do it to my nose. 😅 Also there's a gas pump 0:59 thing on the feul gauge with a point to left that's how you know.

Thanks, I have the same problem here in the US. But you didn't mention about to lock the handle when you put the nozzle in the tank hole. I wonder if you don't lock it and keep push that pump handle does it stop when the tank is full or not?!

thanks for watching. if you don't lock the pump handle, I think you'll need to manually stop filling it up since the mechanism for auto stop will not be engaged. also, it's not advisable to add more gas after it automatically stops.

It seems silly now but I was intimidated the first time I ever did it by myself. My grandma (80) had never filled a car with gas in her life until this year. My grandpa died last year and he did all the driving so she never needed to learn.

Most of the gas stations in the united states require you to either prepay, or if you choose to pay at the pump use a debit or credit card and that make sure card is open on the pump or to the limit of the card or account,whichever comes first...

When I want a full tank I will often pay more than I think my vehicle will take, I go to the pump and pump my tank full, then you go inside of the store and collect your change for the difference.

On the dash where the odometer is there is lil gas sticker and they put an arrow next to the sticker showing which side your gas tank is…..⛽️➡️

My mom never pumped gas herself because my dad always did it. Also, she would rarely drive. One day she had to pick up my cousin from school because he got sick. They both had to figure out how to pump gas. I told her later that she should've gotten me out early to help them. My cousin and i are the same age.

Hi, that's the lever that helps the nozzle stop automatically when the gas tank is full. About prepayments, if you pre-pay with a credit card, the actual amount will be deducted from your balance. But if cash, I think you'll need to go inside again to collect your change. I haven't done that yet as I have always paid with a card.

You can pay at the pump with a card, that way you can put any amount you want or fill up. If you have cash I usually give more money than I need in gas, then I have to go back in for the difference. Unfortunately too many people are dishonest to fill up before paying.

I am from Australia and I could not work out how you have unleaded gas just realised gas is a name for petrol in the US. Gas here is not a liquid and you have to swrew the bowser on so that the gas in the gaseous state does not evaporate or blow up the service station.

If you're using a credit card to pay at the pump, it will ask for the ZIP code of your card billing address as a security measure.

Hello Francisco, usually you don't need to input how much gas. In my case, it automatically stopped when the tank is full. If you want to put in about $15 worth of gas, you just need to manually press it and stop when the amount is reached.

Watching the gas as 2.09 in this videos is a trigger
