For me, I have a boundary with the fae where if I tie a ribbon on my door knob, I wish to be left alone. And they always have respected that which I honestly really appreciate. I also have a boundary of "please do not approach me outside at night during the darker half of the year, especially if I'm alone" bc winter and my mental health don't always agree and so harmless encounters can often stress me out a LOT. they also always honor that one which is GREATLY appreciated. I have more but those are my top two boundaries I've set with them

So. Sorry if this is a dumb question.. but how do you know what their boundaries are? Like with different fae I’m assuming they have different boundaries so how do you know what to do and what not do to? I just started getting into this whole other world and I just want to learn:)

@@michaelathompson7041 That's not a stupid question at all. I started by researching faery etiquette. You can learn a lot of their boundaries through learning their customs. I also started making all of their etiquette a habit to avoid offending them, there's lots of youtube videos on it. And then, I started researching different types of fae. There's youtube videos and websites and books on them. I can't remember exactly which ones I used. C'est bon bons has a video on the fae tho where she lists her sources. And finally I waited till beltane to try and contact the fae and talk with them about any additional boundaries they may each personally have. I started by leaving an offering of berries and honey and went from there. I personally used tarot cards to communicate but there are plenty of other ways to talk to them. I just don't know much about those ways xD

I was raised with the spirits of the forrest. I was never given the language of being a witch but was totally raised to be one. Fairies and other spirits were told to me from a super young age, there were ones to stay away from but others who liked apple cidar so I would leave a sip when we made some around the fire. It is so interesting that they have always been a part of my life and learned how to not have issues as I grew up, but I know many people who just don't know what they are getting into! Thank you for this! Also you are so funny.

I think it's so cool when our parents raises to be witches but don't label it. Because then there's no stigma, it's just the way things are. I was raised in a very similar fashion, and grew up to refer to myself as a witch. although I didn't have proper teaching about the faith I was always taught that they were real. I've always believed, and I've seen them as a child. Did you get to see them? I think it's so cool that they like apple cider 😁

My wife thanks you for this... she’s convinced we have faeries in the house and she’s not amused lol. I’m not so convinced since we live in NYC and there’s like ZERO nature nearby. I can’t imagine any faeries being attracted to Brooklyn 😂. Once we move upstate maybe she’ll be ok with a faerie garden outside. There are loads of Faeries that love the city because there are so many people to feed off of! Depending on the type of fae, they move to where they enjoy the atmosphere, a place where they can sustain themselves on human emotions or watch the different types of people. There are some that are really attracted to art and music as well, and tend to stay in areas with a lot of creatives 👌🏾🥰

OMG I've been wondering about this for a WHILE, thank you! Like, I don't want to DISrespect them if they're not doing anything to me, but I have never wanted to mess with fae and would rather not have them in my living space.

I recently started working with the fae and have had a few scares here and there. This video kept stopping and cutting out words (specially the St. John wort). My main concern is then messing with my kids and husband, specially my older daughter is interested in them, so it’s good to know I can set these kinds of boundaries. Thank you!

This is a brilliant video and so enlightening! I've always been very curious about the fair folk and creatures of mythology and folklore, and I would absolutely love to encounter them! However, I'm aware of how dangerous they can be, and as a beginner/closeted witch still living in a home which is very much Christian, somehow I don't think it would be a good idea to invite them in. I do like to leave occasional treats in my area of the garden though, usually some kind of sweet homemade drink, like spiced cream or sorrel. Your fair folk videos have been so useful, as I now know ways to increase likelihood of encounters with them (basically being kind to nature and respectful, and growing a lot of stuff) without necessarily having to work with them yet. So thank you! 😊❤️

I am just like you. I can't have fragrant sweet or flowery scented perfumes and creams or I will get wicked migraines, so bath and body works products are a no-no for me. Earthy scents are the only things I can have or light baby powder scents work fine too. Every since I transitioned into my natural hair years ago and I started using natural scented oils and things, I've learned that those scents don't make me sick, so eventually I started using those things, not just in my beauty routine, but into my every day life. Plus I've learned that earthy scents work well my naturally strong body odor. So if I try to use sweet scents on myself mixed with my earthy body odor, I just end up smelling sour. Idk why I'm telling you all of this. I just originally wanted to say that I have migraines too but I just went on a tangent. 🤣 Love your channel tho!

This is very useful. I’ve been having problems with the fae they keep touching my stuff and not returning it, but also been giving me nightmares and attacking me in my dreams so now I know some for. Of protection against them to use.

I cant decide what kind of relationship I want with the fae. I'm not sure where to draw the line. I kind of want to see them and respect them. But I also am nervous to the idea of working with and speaking to them. I love how you've been asked to clean up a bit of trash, etc for the environment. I like the idea of giving nature offerings, example being feeding the squirrels and birds. I'm pretty sure I don't want to invite them inside my home on wheels. Ok question: I want to leave the fae offerings, expecting nothing back. I would just like to leave them offerings to show that I appreciate what they do for this earth. I do not intend on working with them in anyway. But, I am completely fine with them visiting/ inhabiting my garden. I’m having a major Fairy problem in my bedroom. They are coming thru a floor mirror (seems to be a portal that I also see passed on animals & earthbound Spirits use as well) but they are causing all sorts of havoc. Not listening to boundaries. Woke up to the pungent smell of flowers last night & a small cherub child in a bonnet standing next to my bed. But her wide grin was mischievous. I’ve also seen dozens of what appear to be glowing fireflies flitting about above my bed at night. This has been going on for 3.5 weeks now & I’m EXHAUSTED. Something scared my 4yo grandson last night something awful. He’s autistic & non-verbal, so there is no way of knowing. But he has NEVER been that afraid & clamoring to get out of bed. I’m at my whits end. If you have any advice, I’m all ears. I’ve always been Clairvoyant, but this is next level😢

@@Mintfaery Exactly! In some videos that I saw while reasearching glamour magick, they said to use this certain ritual to bind your partner to you. But for me that is such a harmful act! Rituals and magick should be just for yourself or to help someone, nature, etc. Not to keep a person in your life.

If I have a fae altar in my garden but have not invited them into my home (purposefully), will they assume that it is free range into my home and life? Or would they typically stay in that space? Yup, state your intention woth the garden 👌🏾 Out loud, say what it is and who is welcomed there and set the parameters, then enjoy!

Interesting that you say some fae do not like bread. My household spirits prefer bread. Specifically homemade bread, not store bought. I tried to give them tequila once and they hated that. I think I have a brownie that I inherited and has been around for possible centuries and some sort of native American cat-sized creature that doesn't talk but likes to cause trouble, but not quite enough for me to banish it.

How do you know if the entity in your home is from the realm of the Fae ?

I can see them from a far? and not work with them?

Do they speak to you out loud or is it more telepathic? 💗

Is it reasonable to put my boundaries into writing as sort of an agreement/terms and conditions type thing? I just have trouble articulating this kind of thing outside of writing, but I'm also afraid of it becoming an invitation for loopholes 😅 I tried to be specific and reasonable, and it mostly covers things a well-meaning spirit would follow by principle anyway.
