So you don't part your hair with your cuticle scissors, a dried up pen or a random fork that mysteriously appeared in my bathroom drawer? Okay then Mr. Fancy Pants!

You know, as a child I resented my hair for being so high maintenance, but when I see videos like these where you have to teach something as simple as parting your hair I'm a little thankful because that shit is like day one of having black hair right along sectioning.

Tail combs are better for parting curly or kinky hair, a cutting comb would get stuck if I tried doing that to my hair, at least by the way you did it. Cutting combs can part my hair but it’s one or two inches at a time and I separate with my fingers as I go down.

Maybe ensuring the hair is detangled first may help. Maybe already having whatever product(s) you may utilize to make the hair more workable/manageable in the hair prior to attempting to part the hair... may also help. Or just keep doing what you're doing, I'm just making suggestions. And I'm not implying you don't already do these things, I'm just sharing how I ensure the comb goes through smoothly for me. I think I have "black" hair... wouldn't necessarily describe it as kinky or curly, but the more social media comments I read, the more I question how "black" my hair truly is.
@dizzy_dd
Жыл бұрын
@Simone LaFleur It's a good suggestion, but even after detangling curly or kinky hair, it gets knotted quickly and you would have to keep doing over the process of detangling

I just use my fingernail. 😅 To make it straight I simply follow a brush stroke with said nail placed where I want my part. 😄

If you take video requests, I’d love to see a video on how to properly section long hair for things like curling. Or a tutorial on how to do different cute styles when you’re by yourself. Almost all the hair tutorials I see are if your doing them on wigs or other people (like if you’re braiding your friends hair), but it’s just me and the mirror.
@alyssabandaid1548

Why would you think you section differently on yourself? Its the same. 4-8 sections, depending on fullness. Part down the middle, divide each one as much as needed to make a manageable section, then do your hair

@@alyssabandaid1548 let’s remember what may be a no-brainer for you and your specific hair type and level of experience/how long you’ve been practicing it on yourself doesn’t apply to every other human being on this planet. I learned at 12 how to section my own hair properly for most styles, but not all. If you don’t need the hair tutorial this person asked for, don’t watch it. Maybe you’re not meaning to come off snarky and patronizing but your tone is reading that way. You could have just given this person the information in the last few lines and left it at that but you still don’t know their level of comfortability with styling their own hair, what style they’re struggling with practicing on themself, or their hair type which would make the process vastly different and more detailed. They were kind, polite, and giving valued feedback fo the creator so they know what their audience may be looking for so what is the problem

@@xenahex that's a whole lot of presumption packed into one response there, boss... I was being sincere. Please chill.
Until you try curly hair and break the said two combs 😂🎉❤
Bro, I used a single wooden chopstick from a Japanese restaurant as a parter for like 3 years 😅
My hair parts itself. I can’t part it any other way. It has naturally parted on the left side since childhood. I have a widow’s peak so trying to change it up just makes my hair fall all in my face lol.

I do too and I've always had a center part. A side part makes more sense to me because you can hide the widows peak a bit.

My hair was always in a deep side part until i spent like a week or two training it into a middle part. I parted it in the middle while it was wet and clipped it in place until it dried. Did that every day and now my hair naturally lands in a middle part when i get out of the shower/wake up.

Can you do real peoples hair? Like all diff textures and types
I have that pink comb and I gave one to my gf since she has very thick curly hair and getting a straight part is tough for her. Well, she thought that the bristle that’s shorter at the end of the comb was broken. She got mad at me for giving her a broken brush and refused to take it… So I am sending her this video right now. Thank you, Brad..🩷
I thought I was a pro at parting my hair until I went to beauty school and realized I had never done it right or straight my whole life lol! So glad to see this is full knowledge being taught to some that truly havnt learned yet I’m sure ! The second for sure is the cosmetologist favorite 😘

Thanks Brad for helping me cut my own hair. I did the unicorn cut and love my hair cut!
Amazingly, I’ve gone thru all my life only knowing basic middle and side part techniques. Thanks Brad! IDK in what situations I’ll use this on myself, but I can definitely use it braiding for other people I’m working on! 😊❤
Some people on here probably don’t get the “Easy breezy cover girl “ thing at the end !!! 😂
I am learning so much from your channel. I wanna become a hairdresser when I’m older. I already dyed my sis hair blue. She had dark brown hair and faded red tips (bc of previous dying). I couldn’t bleach her hair bc I don’t know how and was afraid of damaging her hair. But it turned out great, dark blue roots with a lighter tip.
That was my favorite way to part when I still worked as a hairstylist/hairdresser.
**breaks comb to part hair more easily**
I love how he starts with "hi beautiful" 😍
Agreed, that was my preferred comb for parting. Retired Hairstylist
my hair is too thick and breaks those things FAST so I'll stick to using my fingernails 💅
Had been using this technique for past 18 years . Initially to part hair at back to make braids for school . Now just to normal parting.
Learning a lot from you,I think I’m going to start up a saloon ❤️😆

As far back as a preteen, I wished I could take my hair off and place it on a foam head so I could get the effect I wanted just right. Brad’s showing us that every video. Just take your hair off and put it on a thing that looks like your head and simply do this! Oh. Wig styling.

When at first i watched ur video I heard that u said hi beautiful and i was like no one called me like hi beautiful so one of the reason why i watch ur videos is that and also when every time i don’t have a vibe I will watch ur videos so thank you for say hi beautiful in ur videos 💞✨☺️
Last time I used a comb it broke 😂
It you brushable hair then you can also brush your hair font the front straight back where you want your part and because of the bristles it makes a lot of different lines that you can literally just separate at. I’ve done that sense I could remember, so middle school. And I would just brush back where my side part goes (usually when wet) and just separate it super easy. Great for just everyday wear.
Brad looking good❤❤
The only man who calls me beautiful Everytime ...i feel confident 😗

Wherever you want your part to end, put your finger. Bring the comb to your finger, perfect parting.

As a hairdressing apprentice I absolutely struggle with sectioning Not with combs though that's fine. But when doing blowdry in the salon I'm in it's weird to use them but I don't have long nails so I can't get a clean section with my finger like everyone else. Holding a brush a dryer and a comb with nowhere to put them down would be messy. Trying to find an easier way to section the back during blowdries
With your expertise , it would be wonderful to see you cut hair on models - please & thank you. 👏👏👏
Great I learnt something .
Your amazing darling don't you forget :)
I’ve had too many experiences where it feels like the hairdressers are slicing my scalp with a tail comb 😂 especially after bleach on the scalp ouch 😱
I just brush my hair back straight in the middle, do it again with pne half and then brush the halfs down lol
I choose the rat tail comb because you can comb your hair and you can use it as a protection if you need to 😂😂😂 fun fact
