Hi Pharraway, great video as always boss I love the way you explain each and every step throughout the entire process which is a big help to people like myself and all other DIY/Hobby painters. That basecoat really covers well and as you say it's covered in one coat and once cured it still looks quite glossy which is unusual, I have a mini solvent basecoat scheme so I mix my own colours which is ideal for what I do. I've just ordered the new Iwata WS400 Series2 1.3HD Digital which should be here tomorrow so it will be interesting to see how it stands up against my Sata X5500 and DV1. Thanks for doing the videos brother and I look forward to the next one👏🙏👍John UK.

I'm cheap, so I cut the plastic strips roughly the size I need as you showed here. Collision shops cover the whole car, but the owner is buying the supplies...

Just wondering. The small spots you covered with self etching primer the night before, so you need to sand it before spraying the sealer over it? Thanks for the great videos by the way!

Is that paint area wider then a one car garage .my 1 car garage is 10".3 ' inches wide. I'm ready to clear it out my garage and paint a 1982 mazda rx7 or set up canopies and tarps. Been watching many of your videos.

I bought the Steel Camel filter from your past recommendation, but when I have it plumbed into my system, I can't get above 22PSI at the gun. My setup runs from my compressor, to a regulator set to 60psi (max recommended for tthe SC filter) then through a Harbor Freight dessiccant filter and a 50ft hose to another regulator and a water and oil trap at my gun. I tried removing the HF filter and still couldn't get above 22PSI. I took the SC filter out and with just the HF filter in line I can get to 40+ psi no problem. The people at SC haven't been much help. Any tips? It would be much appreciated. I'm running a small compressor and an LVLP gun.

I have a quart of clear coat (2:1) and I was planning on only respraying part of the clear on a car where the passenger side clear is peeling but after watching your videos - I want to re-clear the entire car; can I spray one coat of clear in one brand and another coat with another brand of clear?
@PHARRAWAY
Жыл бұрын
Yes you can, but not recommended each clear has there own dry time and might not be compatible with each other
Hello Pharraway. I ordered the Steel Camel filter and there is a label that say that the max PSI is 60psi. Is that how you have yours set at? My compressor is set up to run my paint gun and other more demanding air tools. Do you have your regulator set at 60PSI all the times, even for other tools?
@PHARRAWAY

No I have mine at 90psi

@@PHARRAWAY Thank you! One more thing, do you have the Steel Camel filter before the 50 foot lines or after. Not sure if you mentioned that. Thanks
What size hose to run on your compressor?? Would a 30 gal compressor be enough to paint my car at home?
@PHARRAWAY
Жыл бұрын
It's a 60gal compressor 5hp, yes but you will need a LVLP paint gun

@@PHARRAWAY Thank you detective Pharraway. Case resolve. Have a good Sunday.
I understand you just started using HiQ clear & probably won’t know the longevity of the clear or how it will hold up years from now. But what do you think about the HiQ clear so far maybe compared to let’s say Tamco 2105?… As well as the base. We don’t know yet on the longevity of HiQ paint/ base. I believe NoRoo paint/ HiQ is the original paint for Kia & Hyundai. From what I know Kia & Hyundai paint is not the best paint & does not last long.

As of right now, it sprays awesome and it should hold up to the Texas heat, and about the clear so far it has a good shine to it let's see on the hold up
I thought you would use new plastic masking after sealing just in case some of it flaked off into your base coat.
