Clove oil is very rich in phenolic compounds that promote hair growth, improve scalp health and prevent premature graying of hair. Clove (Syzygium aromaticum) in general has very high antioxidant and antimicrobial activities. It has been used for centuries as a natural food preservative and for many medicinal purposes. Examples of phenolic compounds found in cloves : eugenol, eugenol acetate, gallic, caffeic, ferulic, elagic and salicylic acids.
To make my clove oil I used 350 mL of organic extra virgin olive oil and about 35 grams of cloves.

  • @MimiKeel

    @MimiKeel

    Жыл бұрын

    @@rosemarynakayenga7876 , Olive oil is used by most because it is the least expensive penetrating oil. Other penetrating oils you could use are: Avocado oil, Castor oil, and Argan oil. But whichever you choose, please make sure the oil is "cold pressed and unrefined." Because, refined oils are heated at high temperatures, killing most of the nutrients. **Also, Coconut oil is penetrating as well, but since it solidifies, it's probably not the best choice for clove oil.

When all of my washing (with Sulfur 8 shampoo), conditioner, and the mask was over and rinsed I used my 3 day clove water and just poured it on my hair. My hair is growing like crazy thank you. It can dry your hair out. I use clove water as a leave in spray after shampooing and conditioning. Then I follow up with a good conditioning cream. It has improved my hair tremendously after just one month. When detangling my hair, it’s so manageable, I have more volume, curl pattern more defined, hair growth is improving. The key after using Clove water is to moisturize.

    I brought me some clove oil, put it in a spray bottle with water. It started growing my hair, was really thick I don't keep messing in my hair, the spray made it easy to comb. One thing I learn about hair is switch up don't just keep using clove all the time. Do it a couple of months, then switch up to batana if you really want hair growth, it's good for glowing skin.

    Castor oil here would be 💥 and this oil would be wonderful warmed up to relieve back, leg or arthritis pain too. Of course I’m not a Dr. but I do have inflammation and know that cloves and castor oil are excellent for topical relief (even with a few drops of wintergreen) 😉

    Thank you very much for this recipe!! Might I suggest cheesecloth to strain the cloves from the oil? You can squeeze the cloves in the cheesecloth as well to get as much oil as possible.

    @KAYLA B BONES - Try adding dried orange rind to your clove water. I generally keep all citrus rinds in my freezer. I brew it in the stove then cool to use as a rinse & weekly hair spritz

    Just boil cloves and it is ready. Or, alternatively, soak cloves for 3days or more, strain the water boil and drink. Or, turn your cloves into powder. In a cup of hot water, add a tea spoon stir and it is ready.
