Good tip on adding nutrients to the sphag. I didn't for the longest time in my prop box and things started to slow waaaaay down. So easy to forget propagations when doing the fertilizing rounds!
This was so informative. Just what I was looking for. Thank you Kayla!

So cute quality time with your kid :) thanks for the info!!
If you have water bottles, you could reuse them. I just cut the top part of the bottle off and use the bottom part for my props. It's clear, so you can see roots and you can reuse it just as well. It's not worth it, though, if you don't use water bottles in your home, though, I suppose lol
Adorable he wants to be like mommy!!

'Ginny' is just a common name for R. tetrasperma. I believe the Malay Gold is the same plant as the Golden Goddess?? But I'm not 100% certain. Dragon's Tail is the R. decursiva This is SO exciting!! I can't wait
You did get a lot of cuttings and That's the BEST moss around. I get mine from LOWES though.

My Lowe’s never has any in stock 😭 plus Amazon primes free delivery makes it worth it when it goes on sale for $4. 😉
You look like you're doing reeeally good ;-) lol Thanks for the vid.
Good
That Ginny is rhaphidophora tetrasperma. I couldn’t seem to get Cebu blue cuttings to take so I just chopped them into wet sticks and had better luck.

When you say flash sales on Amazon… is that same thing as deal of the day?? I’m new to buying off Amazon so I was wondering if there is a way to alert when sales happen.. like the sapadnamoss ?

What do you need to do next? After 2 days put the lid on but then. How often do you need to air them, do they need water or food or something?
@KaylasPlants
Жыл бұрын
If it’s not super moist in there I don’t open the lids often just to keep moisture in. And I have a spray fertilizer you can just spray directly on everything every two weeks. It’s by pro organic

On the prop boxes can I use a plastic shoebox with not a clear lid?

I think every node he just touched will grow in record time! what a beautiful family plant sister! I wish I could chat with you as I am also a collector and am going to start trying my luck at node,cutting, and wet stick prop. I am scared to death because I have a couple dream monsteras I am going to try for but cannot afford the leaf too! Have you had any luck with water prop for nodes? Perlite? is it faster to grow in water or perlite as opposed to moss? I have always used either water or moss for cuttings but I am trying nodes now. HELP!!!
@KaylasPlants

Are you referring to chunks with a node and no leaf? Those are always soooooo risky. It just depends on what the piece is looking like. You can always send me an email I have in my description or message me on insgram if you have it (: @kaylasplantts
