Here’s a note that isn’t mentioned, if you unplug the power or you experience power outages, you have to reprogram the motor with the remote!

Thank you sooo much!! We just purchased a new home with an Awntech retractable awning and the previous owners who purchased the home, remodeled and sold to us, didn't have the remote. I saw different instructions in different places, but yours worked! (Happy dance)

The remote programming is tricky to say the least. The motor needs to be unpowered for 10-15 minutes before you program it. Step 1 power motor. Motor will move forward for a second or two then it will go backwards for a second or two. Step 2 must be completed within 10 seconds after motor stops in step 1. Push P2 Byron twice. Then push UP bottton once. Motor will jog. Step 3 push DOWN button motor will move to open awning. Step 4 set white and red limit switches. NOTE 10-15 seconds for power down is not long enough, per Aleko tech support. If you need to talk to them you must wait until 11AM eastern time.

I followed the instructions exactly. I get no response from the motor. When I first plug it in the motor moves slightly. When I try to pair the transmitter, I get no beeps or movement of any kind. The led on the front flashes when I push the buttons, but nothing happens.

@@josephpopiel4793 I found out that you must push the buttons within 5 seconds of plugging it in. You really have to be fast. Once I did that, everything works as it should.
