Perfect! It did take about 30 seconds. The directions on the side of the red button are wrong, it is not "press and hold". Now doing it your way, it worked exactly as you said.

@@TomLeeman When I press the remote to open the garage door it goes part way and stops and starts to close. If I go to close the garage door with the remote, it goes part way stops and goes to open

@@joetaxdude that’s interesting. You may have to reprogram everything starting at the box that post the door up and then reprogram the remote.

Wonderful! It worked! Thank you. We tried to do the same with a second remote but that one didn't work. Any suggestions? These are new replacement remotesl

Hi Tom! I know my garage opener is ancient, so I cannot find that reset button that you spoke of. I took off the covers from both sides to see where I can find that button, but was unsuccessful. Am I looking in the wrong place?

It should be right where the lightbulb is on the left side when you’re standing in front of it

Looks so easy but one door refuses to learn any new codes, learn light just stays solid when pressed. You can see the learn button flashing when the old code is used so I know it's getting a signal, but the door doesn't move. New batteries in all remotes and doesn't work with light bulbs removed (I've heard LEDs can cause interference)..

Logan check your procedure again and see if it’ll work take a look at your manual pad. They have some special information in there on procedure. It may be a little bit different.

You had your garage door opened. Does it matter if the garage door is open or close? Not sure if my remote is old but it's not communicating with the receiver. I did exactly as you shown.

Yes, you just change the code at the pad on the door

Wish it was that easy. Have the same remote and opener (139.53674SRT2). Failed to pair. Remote entry keypad also isn't working. New batteries in each.

It should work on your door where you have your keypad. If you open it up it has instructions on it. Also on the actual opener that pulls up the garage door there are instructions they may be similar, but have a different pattern. Check those and see if they’re the same as what I’m showing you if not try the new format. Good luck thanks for watching.

@@TomLeeman Thanks Tom. Same directions on the opener as in your video. Only difference is my light is in front of the opener. The orange LED next to the learn button lights, but pressing the remote control button does not cause the opener light to flash. They did not pair. That's standing right next to it. Tried the method you showed in video as well as the instructions on the back of the panel. Same thing with the keypad. Opener light did not flash. I know the light works since I can use the hard wired unit to close the door. Could be that the remote died, but both the remote and the keypad at the same time? Seems unlikely. Receiver logic board replacement is expensive and no idea if that would even solve the problem. May be time for a new unit. Ugh...

They are used for additional garage door openers. Left right side....third door.
