It worked for me the first time! in a 2015 chevrolet sonic hatchback LT , 08/01/2024 I bought a key on Amazon (it was not the same model, this one had more buttons than the original), I followed the steps just as it says in the video and it worked! I clarify that I only had to change the new controller board for the previous one that I had that didn't work, since the key on the new control didn't work, it stuck. Thank you!

Great video! Thank you very much. I just executed step by step your instructions and it worked perfectly. It's really 10:02 minutes when the security lights turns off. The only trick I had to add to this procedure is that I only had 1 key (since I bought the car at a discounted dealership 😉) so what I had to do was to leave the key loose so I could startle car with the old and programmed fob, then take the key out and put it back in with the new fob in order to start the 30 minute program procedure.. and it worked perfectly the first time. I really appreciate videos like this one and people trying to help out others. Many thanks!

Hello, I used the same method to Programme my new extra key but it's just starting the car only no locking or unlocking or trunk opening is working with new key. I have original key which is 315mhz and replacement key is 433mhz is this could be the reason? If so then what's a solution for 433mhz new key to do locking and locking? Also want to mention the new key was not cutted I went to lock Smith for cutting.

the frequency is how the key talks to the car. If the frequency doesn't match, the key won't open the car.

I tried this procedure with a brand new blank key and it activated the service theft deterrent system, what could have been the problem?

I have a 2011 gmc. Door locks work on fob, but no start

Everybody to know programing about this key 1st is 1st the key you need to program it must be not programed before with any GM cars it have to be cleared. I was trying to program in my car gmc terrain a programed with another GM cars can't program with my car therefore as i said make sure it is cleared or not programed with other vehicle that's all.

This does not work for buick verano 2014; key will not turn in ignition to begin process, but does unlock the door so it is evidently cut correctly.

Thank you for your comment. To get the key blade cut, you will have to go to A Locksmith store or to the dealership. After that, you will be able to do the onboard programming. I hope it helps. Thank you again for your comment.

@@Louisianasfinestshay a lot of cars have a super simple process most you can google. But my key cutter cut it and cause he was a nice guy programmed it (and showed me) for free. Ridiculously easy.

This drained my battery. What did I do wrong?

I turned the radio/dash console completely off, and turned the auto light feature to off. Throughout this process I monitored the battery voltage, and it never dropped below 12.3v. I hope this helps.
