    Totally agree with what you said at the beginning of the video. When I was 15 I took a English language certification attesting a level B1. But I was so well prepared that I ended up getting a B2 level. Praticing with mock exams is a key step in the test preparation, because we get to encounter frequently used words/grammar structures in the exam, know exactly what to do for each part of the test and now what's expected from us. Congratulations on getting a C1 level on the test, hope to see you speak French in your videos now!

    Congratulations Rosie! I have just passed the DELF B2 (results arrived Xmas Eve- what a present!) so I know how much work is involved in preparing and passing these exams. Am wondering whether to go for C1, have always believed the TEF/TCF was slightly easier than the DELF. Do you think that's true? I found that the DELF was very structured in terms of how to approach the written and speaking papers so good prep. is vital. But well done again.

    I just passed DELF/DALF b2 and also got my results at Christmas. I agree it’s the best Christmas gift ever! I spoke French fluently when I studied in Paris 10 years ago but haven’t used it much since then. I spent around 4 months working with a private tutor to brush up my listening and oral (weekly lessons of 1.5hr + homework). I also watched a lot of French KZread videos 😂 so glad the qualification lasts for a lifetime

    I just passed the DELF B1 and am aiming for B2 at the next round in June. The tests sound very similar! I studied in Paris twice during college and was a very confident speaker, but now I find I have a lot of anxiety around the language and it really impedes my motivation and ability to study well :/

  • @thedavidguy01

    @thedavidguy01

    5 жыл бұрын

    I think all of us learning a foreign language feel this anxiety. It's completely normal. In fact, the linguist Stephen Krashen has written extensively about this kind of stress "filter." I find it critical to not focus on mistakes. In other words, the worst thing you can do is try not to make mistakes. Just focus on the meaning of what you are trying to say, and don't think about grammar. If you have conversations with people in French ask them to correct you only after you have finished. If they interrupt you with corrections, it will cause you to stress and block.

    I once did a test on my French skills after one year of school lessons :'D today, I study French in University and it's really cool. I have a grammar class, and last time we did a conjugation test. Everybody else but me new about it, just I had not been warned. Anyway, I wasn't too nervous, I thought I could rely on my grammar skills. Unfortunately, we had to fill in the gaps of an excerpt of French literature. The mainpart of the verbs was first person passé simple, a tense we never learned at school and which I only knew from books. So I filled in the gaps with passé simple third person, hoping it might be the same form... well, now I know better than that. And thanks to your wonderful video about swearing, Rosie, I can at least properly complain about it in French :'D Really, that test was breaking my ovaries, putain! 😁

    Salut Rosie, merci beaucoup pour vos conseils. Je passerai l’examen dans deux semaines. Est-ce que tu connais des ressources pour m’entraîner dans les conditions réelles? J’ai trois questions concernant la méthode de l’examen; 1. Est-ce que c’est nous qui clique dessus « question suivante » dès que on finit par la réponse ou ça va me diriger automatiquement? 2. Est-ce le niveau de notre question suivante est fondé selon la réponse correcte ou fausse. Autrement dit, si je donne la mauvaise réponse pour une question qui s’agit du niveau A2, don pour la prochaine question est-ce que le niveau sera B1 ou encore A2 comme je n’ai pas réussi à donner la bonne réponse? Tu as compris ma question, bref, est-ce que les questions sont fixées déjà ou ça change selon nos réponses. 3. Est-ce que les textes sont longues comme elles se trouvent dans le livre guide TCF ou ABC TCF ou est-ce que les textes some courtes comme elle sont sur le site apprendre le français TV5 monde? Je te serai reconnaissante de m’aider. Je me permets de te tutoyer comme tu as l’air plus jeune que moi :)

    Bonjour, kzread.info/dash/bejne/iYOHl8yaZtDQdZs.html J'ai créé cette chaîne pour que les élèves qui apprennent le français améliorent leur compréhension orale, mais aussi pour qu'ils puissent travailler leur vocabulaire tout en apprenant plus de chose sur la France. Ça serai vraiment gentil si tu pouvais me donner ton avis. Merci beaucoup.

    WHAT tips can you provide about the writing section? start with the easy questions? and is it true that wrong answer deducts points?

    Bonjour ! Comment allez-vous ? Je vais passer l'examen du TCF en un mois et j'ai quelques doutes. - Dans la partie comprehension orale, est-ce qu'on a du temps pour lire des questions et des options avant d'écouter le document sonore ? - Dans la partie comprehension écrite, est-ce qu'on peut gérer notre propre pour répondre aux questions ? - Entre les questions de la maîtrise de la langue et de la comprehension écrite, est-ce qu'on peut gérer le temps ou est-ce qu’il y a du temps destiné à chaque épreuve ? Merci d’avance !

    Hey guys, I am going to take the TCF or TEF in three months time for Canadian Immigration purposes. I studied french in high school about ten years ago but didnt practice or do anything with it after leaving high school, so I'm pretty much a newbie. I need your advice. Do I stick to youtube and udemy to learn french or will it be better to go to a french school?

    Hi Rosie, one question, how many times a year do they do this marathon? I can't do it this time, but in a month and a half I'm going to live in France and I want to get ready to go to the university. Thanks and congrats!

    I signed up for a trial a few days after watching your Lingoda video and then registered for the half marathon. To my surprise the marathon started immediately after the trial, so 20 December, and it says in my account that it expires 20 March.

    Guys! I took TCF and I got C2 in both comprehension parts, and C1 in both production parts. I'm still surprised, I was honestly expecting B2, maybe C1 in reading comprehension. What I did was: I already had an alright grammar foundation, so 90% of my studying for this test was listening, listening and listening like crazy. Important: my grammar is not perfect, I still make mistakes and hesitate and there are a lot of things I dont remember. So I kind of read the grammar (5% of my study time), and did practice speaking (5%). I studied for like 6 or 7 months before the test, 3 to 6 days a week. And I found listening content that I found interesting, so I it wasnt like "ugh, I have to study" but "let's see what this video is about, how cool." So yeah, bottom line: listen, listen, listen. (I also used TV5's videos and took 16 test models).

    Hello! Okay I know this video is 2 years old and there's a good chance you won't see this, but I was wondering if you had any advice on specific topics to prepare for the speaking part (aka the part I am dreading the most). I can speak about most things to a certain degree but I'm worried about the more complex topics and was wondering if you knew of any resources to get some ideas for this :)
