Thank you for sharing. I just had my second surgery and my healing is slow and hard. I am glad that there are other people out there that are young through the same thing. This has been very draining both physically and emotionally and I feel like no one around me understands what I am going through.

Thank you for posting this. My surgery is coming up in a few weeks. Every time I feel anxious about it, watching your video and know there's things I can do to prepare, makes me feel much calmer. I hope you are still feeling better!

Hi Jess I think being well prepared made sure I had no anxiety because I knew I had done what I could to give myself a decent chance of feeling better. So good luck with your surgery. I hope you feel better like I've done (fingers crossed).

Good luck with your surgery. I hope you do all that you need to even after surgery. It'll really help you recover well. Please follow all precautions - it made quite a difference to my recovery than those I know who didn't follow it. I've also done a video on what to expect after excision surgery - have you had a chance to check that out?

This was so very helpful. We have a lot of the same issues and ideas about pre&post op prep. I'm about 2wks from my surgery so along with getting the last lil bits, figuring out drop off/pickup logistics, and blergh a covid test, rn I'm trying to focus a lot on reining in my anxiety. I have a pretty good toolkit (while this is my first excision it's not my first surgery) but I know the closer it gets the more likely I am to fall into bad habits, just adding to the stress. So I'm being very mindful of when my thoughts stray, working through the problem in my mind, and refocusing on a soothing task(knitting, colouring, video games). The whole thing is incredibly daunting but I know it's nessecary because all the things they warn you not to do for months are things I already can't do thanks to the pain. I'm glad I found this video tho I had completely forgotten to add extra cushions for the ride home. That would have been big fun >.

Hi Heather! I'm so glad this was helpful for you. I love how you're working on getting everything in place and even recognising that you may fall into bad habits - at least you can be more mindful of it. Things are trickier with covid now and sadly some people's surgeries have been rescheduled so I am really happy that yours is going through. O' and yes please don't forget the extra cushion - it made so much of a difference! Good luck with it all :)

@@teecleere1448 - before my surgery, there were so many things that the nurses had to do, and with all the consent information to go through, the pre-surgery wait time went by pretty fast for me that I didn't even notice my support person! Good luck with your surgery - wishing you the best recovery ever! :)

@@FootprintsNoBoundariesByShruti thank you so so much, anxiety is a curse when it becomes overwhelming. Its just a very unusual situation to be in. With past surgeries (not laparoscopic) I've been lucky enough to have somebody with me for before and after. It always settled me. It's such an isolating ordeal to go through completely alone. Anyhow it has to be done so I may get on with it 😅 I'm actually talking to my surgeon today on whether or not to reschedule until Feb/March since the covid number are very high where I am and are expected to increase around my surgery date. We've only just began the roll out of vaccines here. My worry is compromising my overall health while trying to recovery from surgery. If it was an emergency situation that would be very different. But what's another month r two more of pain for me if it would mean a safer prognosis. 🙄 Thank you again for your thoughtful reply and informative videos. They truly are helpful ☺️

Hi @@berina99 - The endo-excision specialist surgeon will advise which one you need. I have come to understand that all surgeons approach this differently with medicines they trust, so if you're going for this surgery then please ask your surgeon about it. Good luck :)

Thank you! Mines tomorrow, it's a diagnosis surgery but they're removing a hemorhagic cyst along with any endometriosis tissue that may be there. I'm honestly scared af lol Also how can you insert a tablet into the uterus?! Do they want you to go through your cervix to put it in?
