    Thanks I really appreciate the advice I never thought of the possibility of having more than one person interviewing me. Now I can prepare for the possibility.

    Glad I could help. Appreciate you letting me know. And if it is for an apprenticeship, more than likely it'll be a board or panel of people, mainly the contractors and the joint apprenticeship training committee. Anyway, definitely best of these prepared and aware of what's going on. Keep us informed. Best of luck

    @@JoonRhee Will do man! It’s going to be a life changer, been looking like crazy for the right trade for me. I have just a little experience with some hand tools, nothing spectacular.. I’ve helped my step dad (who is a contractor) build a few things for a house.. If they ask, should I tell them I know some things or just let them know I don’t know too much?

    Thanks, your videos are really helpful! You seem like a super intelligent and educated apprentice, perhaps more than most. May I ask what were your personal reasons for wanting to become a plumber? I’ve decided to make a career change from a white collar job and I’m trying to put into words (for a potential apprentice interview) why I’m drawn to the trades and to plumbing in particular.

    Matthew you are welcome brother! Glad to hear you are learning some stuff from the content:) that's quite the transition for sure. I mean I would explain to them why you've become more disinterested in your current profession and simply want to make a change. The biggest thing they will want to know is that you want to stick with it and will push through the BS. I got into it because of many reasons but mainly it was a choice that I wanted and knew I wont choose to go back. I'll only laterally move within this industry and there are soooo many opportunities. Good luck brother hope the interview goes well. Are you currently a helper?

    @@JoonRhee Thanks so much for the insights! Right now I’m trying to get hired as a helper with a private company to just get my feet wet while my application for a union apprenticeship is being processed. I’m furloughed from my current job in hospitality because of COVID but I don’t really want to go back, hence the career change. I’m in my mid-30’s so I feel like I’m running out of time and I’m ready to commit 100% to the trade, see the training through to end, and become the best plumber I can be. Any other interview advice you have at all to offer would be really appreciated. Thanks man!

    @JoonRhee

    That's great to hear! Way to go and way to show him that you want it and show him that you're interested. A call back really depends on how many interviews they have to go through and how many people are interviewing for the position. I believe mine was about a week just because of all the candidates that they have to go through so it depends. But they'll get back to you for sure to let you know. At least if you made it on the list at all. Keep us informed. Congratulations!

    My experience was I had to get in and I therefore had to work my ass off to prep for the aptitude test and get all my references in order and if I were to get myself an interview I needed to make sure that I got it. I did. Maybe a little bit better than average on the aptitude test and I was their number one choice during the interview. So for me my turnaround was pretty quick. I got hired on to a contractor within 2 days and was accepted about a month later

    I'm glad it helped brother. Appreciate it and in terms of religious beliefs and views politics, I would keep those more personal just because those are heavy and hard topics to bring up at work. If you want to pay her career I would just be a little more enlightened. Thanks for the comment
