How to practice Milk Steaming with Ice, Soap and Water
Extra Pointers
- Practice with all your pitcher sizes. They are slightly different when it comes to positioning, holds and so on.
- You won't be able to pour latte art with this liquid.
- I always keep my pitcher spout touching the steam wand to have a anchor point that I can pivot around and also go up/down it like a rail when I control foam levels. It also makes it easier to setup your positioning before steaming.

you can use food coloring (around 4 drops). its harder than using real espresso and steamed milk, but good for practicing latte art.

I would probably get the smaller pitcher if you can only pick one. It's extremely hard to steam a small amount with a big pitcher, while you can steam a decent amount (enough for a standard latte) when pushing the capacity of a smaller pitcher.
