Came out beautiful, I bet the homeowner was stoked to come home to see this. A raised stone veneer garden bed in that center vacany would tie it in beautifully. Looks awesome man you guys are killing it!

These videos are great, and its great to see family working together. I've been working with my family since about grade 10 for the past 7 years. Landscaping and concrete, but have got more of an interest in concrete. Throughout your videos I see techniques that I have never seen, but only intrigue me even more. Ill be taking a flatwork technicians certification course at the end of March, its been about 4 months since Ive been in the mud because of winter, but watching these videos sure makes me excited for summer! Watching the process and hearing the explanation of why you are doing what you are doing is worth its weight in gold. Much respect from The Great White North!

I never liked placing a pattern finish on the concrete surfaces, but what the customer wants is what they get! You and your team did a great job on the finish of this project. Appears to be quite a bit of extra labor, but that is what puts $$$$ in your pockets! EXCELLEENT VIDEO, thanks. ....13

Now this one I really like! The two pours really complement each other nicely. Your work is always top notch but I sometime wonder about the taste with some of the customers in your other videos and what they want done, LOL. They pay the bills though so the customer is always right.

The cleanouts look like they have perforated brass covers on them. You mentioned that one curves to the house, so I assume it's a sanitary drain. That would leave a very unpleasant smell at the front entry. Were the plugs left in and capped with brass for decoration? Is there a check valve? In the midwest, we have seperate storm and sanitary systems. I'm not familar with how it works in SoCal.

Clean outs for the sewer lines. One for each direction. The plugs stay in the ABS pipe

When you do two separate pours like that do you have to put felt expansion joints between them to allow room for expansion?? Just need some advice... Where I’m from we put them next to the house when we pour...your thoughts??

I like to stay away from expansion joints, unless I'm getting in to new construction. A lot of settlement and movement in new stuff for the first 5 years
