Omg Jenn, do you think you can ask Ben to help do a "How to take photos for your gf" video with tips on camera angles, how far/close to stand, how to avoid tilted backgrounds, telling your gf to fix hair/clothes, etc? I always have to tell my man where to stand and which angle to take the photos from but he just kinda stays at that spot and I'm having a hard time trying to explain it to him ( ; __ ; ). Btw I think it'd be interesting to have Ben do the voice over as well AHAH. Love you lots Jenn

As a german I was so confused and fascinated about your shirt! it's pretty cool. And of coure, very helpful and beautifully made video!

But Jenn, it's my face that looks stupid in pictures!! T_T Can you do a video on what to do with your facial expression in pictures, different angles for different looks, and how not to be a nerve wreck when someone points a camera at you. I really hope you can do this for us awkward girls!

I needed something like this so badly! I went to look at my pictures from last year and I kid you not 95% of my gallery was just me doing the peace sign throughout the year. I can't wait to go out and test all of these. ♡

As someone who never knows what to do in a photo, I'm so glad I came across this video. All the poses are simple and are things that you would normally do without thinking about during your regular day so it's so much easier to do when you know you'll be photographed.

I always adored the way you pose in your styling videos! you look so natural at doing it that I don't think you ever had any awkward poses! thank god for this video

Hi Jenn! I´m currently working as a fashion fotographer and models always pose naturally at first but after a little they ran out of ideas so this is super helpful to me!! specially because they ALWAYS ask me to take pictures of them walking and I can never get those right, I´m definitely teaching them "The Strut"!! Thank you for the nice video!!

Well, for me the problem is facial expressions while I pose. I used to be completely relaxed while taking photos some years ago but now it's so awkward for me and my expressions turn out to be weird or not so natural so that's why I prefer taking selfies where I can see and control my facial expressions. I would love it if you would make a video about facial expressions while you pose and how you can achieve a natural result. Thank you 💖💜 xxxx

This is such a helpful video! Maybe some good follow up videos to this would be having Ben talk about being the photographer (I saw it commented below to, but figured I would send it into the echo chamber in agreement) and a video about face poses. I know it would be probably kind of awkward to film, but I find that the hardest part about taking photos for me is what to do with my face! I feel very uncomfortable making "candid" model faces, I always end up just grinning like a 7th grade school photo. A lookbook of your favorite facial expressions or how to be confident in those other expressions would be a cool video too! Love you, Jenn

This is a great video. Early on you mentioned parallel legs creating a flat pose. Artists are taught to avoid straight poses for this exact reason. It tends to look stiff and boring. It is encouraged to draw figures in "contrapposto" which is an asymmetrical and much more aesthetically pleasing pose. If you look at sculptures, you'll often see the figure is putting most of their weight on one leg, like Michelangelo's David. Your hips and shoulders tilt at opposite angles and it looks way more interesting. Angles and asymmetry are much more dynamic and fun to look at 😁

I was watching so many of these but they were all so wordy and barely ever showed the pose this was quick and easily explained and showing the pose exactly thanks so much very helpful

I am taking senior photos tomorrow so I watched your video to help with poses since I only have 2; 1) stand next to object and smile and 2)turn slightly away from object and look back. your video was very informative and helpful, and I will definitely being trying a couple of them tomorrow. srry for grammar, I'm very tired and the more tired I am the more mistakes I make typing :P
