I was doing the same, yesterday someone at the park explained it like this and it was immediately so much better! That, and the back foot pushes more towards the front of the board, not around. Now it's just keeping that front foot over the board, but I can see it's almost there... Today this trick is mine!

Back foot flat is key, and not worrying about pop height got me used to expecting to have the board literally catch my front foot. After that was a thing I focused on the scoop and got em higher.

Yeah i had the same problem and i started to hold on to a fence or a wall and first landing with just my front then my back and after some time both

why cant i do a shuv it but i can do an ollie😢
