How to Ply Yarn with Thread for Beginners with Ashley Martineau

In this video we will take a handspun yarn ply it with commercial mohair thread. You can use this same technique to play two yarns together, or even three yarns together. Simply twist the yarns in the opposite direction as they were spun. Plying is much easier than spinning for beginners, and I often teach children how to ply before I teach them how to spin. Since no drafting is required, it's faster.
This video is a very brief overview of three techniques that I will cover more indepth in my PLYING masterclass. In that masterclass I will teach 15 different plying techniques in 30-minute long video sessions.

Plying Thread (I used commercial Mohair)
Handspun Yarn (I used the yarn I spun in my CORESPINNING 101 video)
In this video I am spinning on a SpinOlution King Bee wheel.

Beautiful art yarn using textured yarn and plying techniques! Thank you! This is something I aspire to learn. If some of the textured yarn isn’t completely locked down with plying thread, with some locks a little looser, how does that wash up? Does it ruin the integrity of the locks, unravel or come undone?
I really enjoyed this video and learning the different plying options and techniques available. I am just a beginner at spinning but love it entirely, already. I must ask, do you love your wheel? Is it a spinolution wheel?
I have a skein of thick and thin yarn that I wish can be re-ply into one size thickness. is it possible to unply and respin them again?
Is the thread a single or is it plied ?
im not able to find commercial mohair thread can you let me know where to find it
