    Never plug your tires folks. Leave the nail in until you can patch it from the inside

    Plugs work just fine. I work in an auto shop never had them fail ever.

    I would rather have a plug in my tire than a screw. Yes you "should" get it patched but it's hard to patch a tire on the side of a road. Most people don't know they have a nail in their tire until it's flat in a wendys parking lot.

    Yea this will get you to where you need to go so you can get it patched. Also when I've done this I've always used rubber cement and didn't trim the plug.

    @e-rock2564 I've always been told if you trim the plug it's less likely to be slung or pulled out. Not sure if there's any truth to it but in my experience it doesn't make much of a difference either way. I'd reccomend rubber cement too. It helps get the plug in easier and helps bond the rubber, I just didn't have any.
