I also loved this video (I also have a book but sometimes I need to see the theory in a video) @@user_3460 A phrase (or a sentense) means you play the notes that are within the curved line (either above or below in the music sheet) without those brief spaces between different notes next to each other, e.g. you have middle C followed by D so you play the Cand D very tighty one after another, without lifting the fingers, so no stikkato. (if you join two same notes which are next to each other that is a TIE, e.g. two middle C in music sheet next to each other played whithout lifting the finger between them, so it will be instead of two stikkato of C, only one legato kind of) I dont know atm how to shorten my explanation SORRY! but if you watch the video few times I am sure you will get it :)

just to add something, you can have more than 1 phrase (sentence) in the piece, even next to each other. That means you will have some notes within that curved line and then another separate curved line containing some notes. You will then play the separate phrases by lifting finger after the first phrase (very short gap) and play following phrase

I'd say I've watched a good half-dozen videos on this so far, but this one is the clearest by a considerable margin. The grade 1 piece I'm trying to get down right now has some of this going on and up to now it has been a challenge. This has helped immensely. Thank you.

Fantastic video. Simply great. One recommendation would be that when you are playing a couple of bars together with notes from both the treble and the bass, then for the beginners, it would be easily to have a moving line depict the note that is currently being played to aid in displaying where you as the player currently are in the song. Thanks
