I’m confused. You can only hold 10 gems at ones. But I see something that cost 13 gems

Me and a few partners, play with all 3(core, and both expansions together) was fun and longer. We changed some of the rules, cause we had to. But we were addicted to the game. I'm even thinking about purchasing the Marvel Version for my nieces and nephews. I have no kids.

Does the 5 also represent 5 emerald or just one emerald and 5 prestige points as bonus

Just one emerald and 5 points. Every card is worth one gem, and 0 to 5 points.

Noble visit can only be possible with cards of the necessary gems, not token, right

No. Good question. You also can't reserve more than one card on a single turn.
