You might be right! I also think Draw The Line is criminally underrated. Kings and Queens, Critical Mass, I Wanna Know Why and Sight For Sore Eyes are some great songs.

@@johnnorth6004 Absolutely! As a teenager I remember playing the Three Mile Smile riff. Also, Think About It has a fantastic solo guitar riff opening which I bet a lot of people aren't familiar with. Mostly known as a hard rock band, I always thought Steven Tyler didn't get the credit he deserved for his ballads (not Dream On of course and I'm not particularly fond of Angel). This album's last track, Mia, is really nice, as well as the last track of other albums: Home Tonight and You See Me Crying.
Soundtrack of my youth.

That’s one of the first songs I ever taught myself how to play. Way back when that album was current. Long before the days of youtube. I had been playing for about 6 months to a year, I think. Back then if you wanted to learn something, you were on your own. Unless you had a friend that could show you things. Which I didn’t…not yet anyway. I guess that makes me pretty old. I just turned 65 a few days ago, and had forgotten all about that song.
Another fantastic song pulled out of the bag. Your song selection & style of teaching (and pace) can't be beaten, simply perfect!

Thanks mate! Yeah, I try to not baby step it. I'm not aiming at beginners, but rather intermediate players, or even advanced players who want to learn a particular song.

@@KellyDeanAllenGuitar Thanks for all your help in leaning the songs I love.
My favorite Aerosmith song, Epic!
I’m so glad you are still on an Aerosmith kick. One of my favorites from them and it was one of Steven’s favorites for a while. It was great to see the band put it back in the set list two years ago in their northern new england stops
Wow, you nailed it on this song, Kelly! Great teaching! 😎✌️💜
My favorite Aerosmith tune!👍✌️
Easily my favorite Aerosmith song... like it's not even close.
THANK YOU!!!! One of my all time favorites!!!
Cool.Been playing that tune for years.
Ooooh 👏. One of the first songs I ever learned on guitar way back in the 70s. Let's see if I had it right.
One of my favorite song from my forever favorite band ! Love to play it on my acoustic guitar since about 40 years when we just had a record or a tape to listen in order to learn guitar licks. I'm glad to see that I was right 🙂 Thanks for that and thanks for all your videos about Aerosmith 🤘

Yep, still using my ears for practically everything. I'm just used to it. I'll sometimes check another tutorial to see if I got it right, but it's 98 percent ears when it comes to figuring songs out.

@@KellyDeanAllenGuitar "One way street" on the first album was another song I loved to play. Maybe you could use your very good ears on it ! 👂
Great tutorial of lesser known classic. Bravo KDA!
A long time since I heard that song. Great tutorial one again ♪♫♪♫♪
Thank you sir. It’s not a bug……they’re just so incredible. I caught the bug in ‘78…
Your content cannot be beat and your guitar playing is top notch!! Seriously thank you!!

My pleasure man, and thank you!
It's a very well thought out song, I suspect Steven spent a lot of time playing with that. I know he's a very good keyboard player, but that doesn't appear to be transposed it from the keyboard since it takes advantage of a lot of open guitar strings.
Such a cool track! Thanks for sharing this with us 👍✌️
Great lesson and thanks for posting. Definitely a song you need to play while listening to the rest of the song.
Another song that I was interested on how you played it. Nice technique in the intro using your pinky finger to slide from the A, to the Bb.
My favorite song on Get Your Wings.
❤❤🎉🎉 Thousands of appreciation
Thanks! It’ll be a sad day when (if?) you get over the Aerosmith bug! I’ve gotten tired of some music from the old days, but never those first four Aerosmith albums.
Great song, one of the first Aerosmith songs I ever covered.
Great lesson Kelly

Aerosmith is the coolest . Can you do kings and queens . Thank you for making me a better guitar player .
I like your deep dives into classic bands like Aerosmith. I was wondering if you might consider some Ted Nugent but not the typical Cat Scratch or Stranglehold but something that no person has done yet on U Tube. Perhaps a song off the Weekend Warriors album or something. Thanks, enjoy you videos

Maybe "Smokescreen". Or something from Free For All.
You're only the 2nd person I've seen so far on youtube who is playing that intro correctly at the "B" position. The vast majority of the others are using only 1 finger on the 1st fret of the A string and NOT fretting the D string on the 3rd fret also, like they're supposed to. Instead, they play the D string "OPEN"......and it's wrong. Both versions "do work"........but the correct version that you're playing & teaching definitely has a sonic difference that can clearly be heard on the studio album. Often times, the littlest things make quite a difference in the sound & vibe of a tune. You're an excellent teacher. Subbed.

Aside from Alice Cooper in general. This was the album that slapped me and inspired me to play. No one was doing anything like this at my high school dances. All smoke on the water stuff. Not complaining just to this day seek a different sound, different tone. Not starting to far from legacy's
Well...better than nothing I guess. I never seen this song explained before.
Wow, I've been playing that A7 bit in the intro wrong for over a decade now. So I notice these days Joe plays this in what seems to be Drop D. Has he always? Any idea why? Does he really just like moving his hands around way more than necesarry? (maybe, lol)

I think I figured it out, he uses it in the weird interlude before Brad's short solo.
This song is fun and hard to play on Bass. Its all on the first four strings.
Mr. Kelly you got any originals?
I have been playing it about half right and half wrong.
Draw the line kings and Queens and guiotenes
