This is harder to do instead you guys can be at different versions but it has to be 1.20 then on the menu you click invite it should pop up your friends online and offline you can invite several maximum of 5 . If problems occour joining retry re add the friend because these problems are common.

Tip: You dont need the same wifi if you are signed it but if u are not you need it
