hey morgan, fyi when shesays a over g she is referring to a slash chord. it simply means play the note g in the bass line. put another way the letter to the right of the slash ( /) will be in the bass line. it is a common reference in music. with a little practice it get easier. good luck.

@scottl4321 I found it easier to bar the A chord with your index, and then use your thumb for the bassline (although you may be able to use your middle finger for the A/G). That way, you don't even have to move your index finger for that section! OK you don't have the high open E, but I don't really think that matters! It sounds fine to me :)

Great tutorial but my pinky is kind of unflexible, it jumps from one position to the other (when I extend it) without stopping inbetween so I rather use my thumb to play the G on the E-string

Why not use your thumb to get that bass note for the first 3 chords?

I don't have a problem with G...but A on the other hand is difficult to cram 3 fingers on one fret.

Its great and on 2nd verse: cellophane flowers of yellow and green,chords sound good. But on : Towering over your head the F 7 or F major that you're using for some strange reason doesn't sound right...maybe its an F diminished or another augmented weird chord? I played it over and over using F major but it just doesn't fit in...about your voice you sing beautifully like an Angel...and you're beautiful too..are you single..lol😉

To LU BU: Just bar the A on 2nd fret and use middle finger to hit the G bass...she is using an unconventional fingering.
