Thanks! I actually had to record this a few times because of copyright issues. The down side to having the sounds so close to the original is that it gets flagged by KZread's copyright bot and prevents it from being viewable in some countries. I don't want that, so I'm forced to break it up and not play the whole thing like I want to.

Can I ask what kind of keyboard your using (like brand and stuff etc) I have a electric piano and a Casio keyboard, we're planning on getting a new one soon as the sustain pedal has completely stopped working on the electric piano and can't be fixed, have you got any suggestions because I would like to be able to do this kind of stuff as well as carry on my piano and keyboard grades. Great job on matching the sounds, especially the intro and chorus. The chunky part on the verses you describe does not sound like it is brass based to me. I am thinking it is organ based with no modulation or vibrato and very little release time. If not, then it is a bass based sound, such as a sequencer bass but obviously played in the higher not range. I am working on this now. Thanks for posting!

All of the sounds you heard are programmed! There are no samples, they're made using the Kronos engines. If you have a Korg Kronos, you can visit www.audora.ca and the sounds are available there. @@arniet1 Honestly, if you can find used workstations from a few generations ago, you can catch amazing deals for very reasonable synths. Look into things like the Yamaha Motif (Not the new XS but like older models) or Roland Fantom series. (Again, older ones) You could also look into things like Korg Triton (Not the LE but things like the Triton Studio) or if you really want to get into programming hardcore, look at the Kurzweil 2500/2600 series. The 88 key keyboard have excellent keybeds, but stay away from the 76 key ones. There were mechanical issues with the Fatar keybeds and the weight glue coming undone unless it's a grey-colored 2600. Anyway, looking at older generation series workstations will give you a LOT of bang for your buck. It won't be the newest/latest/greatest, but it'll give you more than enough to work with in terms of learning programming, sound design and still getting some very usable sounds without breaking the bank.

I have 200 and something preset voices on my Wal-Mart Yamaha keyboard. So I have to pick whatever sounds close. "Strings" sounds somewhat similar. I'm attempting to understand the world of synthesizer terminology and such. But it's tough to do so playing on a plastic turd. This thing takes a beating and keeps on ticking though. It'd probably survive if I threw it out of a moving vehicle.

The names are completely irrelevant. There's no standard naming scheme for sounds in the synth world; when I say MIDI Stack, it might sound different from a Roland, Kurzweil and Korg. Besides that, these are all sounds that I have custom programmed to sound like the album so there's no name for them.
