📜 Video Description 📜
In this 200NL cash games instructional poker video, I play a loose aggressive poker style seeking fold equity wherever it is high and looking to play exploitative poker. That said, I still implement a GTO poker thought process but ensure that I am exploiting weaker poker players wherever I can and getting involved in as many pots as possible preflop. People don't realise that following range charts is an extremely shallow way to think about the game as the EV of your poker decisions can swing dramatically when you have an edge on the rest of the poker table. I make one or two mistakes in this poker session but overall, my play is loose but solid. Enjoy this 200NL ZOOM poker session and please let me know what you think of this video.

Loose Passive, no aggression at all!!

The style is loose aggressive but many of these hands forced more passive play. The important lesson here is maybe that you can’t let your general approach trump the needs of the spot, or perhaps to select more relevant hands for this title!

Love the pace and structure of this kind of videos. Just about the right amount of analysis on each hand. Not gonna lie If you make a 5 hours long video like this I can finish it in one day.

Thanks but if I do that KZread might start hating on my videos for only having a 1% viewer completion percentage.

Cheers Nick. I do get quite confident especially in softer pools like this. While this allows us to play more hands, there more are limits to ninjary.

Hi thanks for video. 10m25 i got diffrent opinion here and want to share it with You and see what You think. Becouse otr i think recreational can still easily overvalue he's JJ, TT, A9, K9, and in some cases even J9, T9 and we do not need much from first segment even to make us a a call imo. What You think ? If there is some low vpp included into bigger probe of opponent then diffrent story tho, but i wouldn't personally fold it into 30 and above vpp, so im corious am i wrong here becouse it feels totaly otherwise to me.

I agree with this. A rec will see 1/3 bet otf and 2 checks and think his JJ, TT, good 9x hands are good and go for a value bet. Pretty big mistake to fold

IMO you played the hands very passive and not aggressive at all. Br

  • @CarrotCornerPoker

Absolutely. What we see here is that loose aggressive play is a general approach and theme but there will always be spots that have to be played with more check and call actions than aggressive ones. I could have selected hands that were more relevant but there is an important distinction here between a general style and adapting to what you need to do in each specific hand. Or at least this is my ‘teacher’ answer for the apparent contradiction.
