Well, that's because these tutorials are made using a keyboard! I just don't have the time or patience to record myself playing all these songs, I'm not much of a performer to be honest! Thanks!

I have a question. How do you pinch the thumb hole? I don't know what that means.

Sorry, the picture is so tiny! Instead of covering the hole you sort of shift your thumb so that your thumb nail is "pinching" down on the hole, thus creating a tiny gap in the hole. When you do this it moves the pitch of the recorder up an octave.

This is so helpfull but i cant get the pinching thing sorted can you explain it cuz whenever i try to do that it squeaks no matter what i do and i even tried to cover all the holes and not letting any air go out but it still squeaks

Try this tutorial, he explains what I mean by "pinching the thumb hole" very well, it's covering the hole with the tip of your thumb to create a very tiny hole. kzread.info/dash/bejne/YpWszrOmYbKtmps.html

Just like in the picture, you use the tip of your thumb to create a tiny gap in the thumb hole... by doing this you raise your notes an octave.
