Unfortunately, financial reasons have prevented my return to AMC, but I still love Hawaiian music (mostly I play it on steel guitar, thanks to Alan Akaka), and I’ve loved bossanova ever since it came out in the late 60’s. I love this, thank you. Sometimes Bossa Nova chords can get pretty tricky. And advice for the left hand?

I suggest learning your basic 7th chord inversions keeping your left hand fingers curved and as close to the fret wire as possible with the thumb typically in the middle of the neck behind the 2nd finger. Many other variations on chords are used but this is a good start.

This is arranged for the linear or Low G tuning. Classical music can also be played using the High G tuning so both tunings can work well.

What is your uke tuned to in here I’m a beginner but the string that’s supposed to be the drum is not a low note
