OK, you got me. Simple approach to the game. Love it. My Dad was like that when he was trying to teach me to play as a kid. He used to say the same thing, take the club back, take the club through. He taught me to say no to the hero shots. I play with people that no matter what, if they can grab the driver, they do. Does it pay off all the time? Sometimes! I find myself using a 3 wood or less many times on difficult holes. Live one more shot, don't penalize yourself. As I age, my body dictates good days and sometimes, not very good days. I played 7 holes recently. My back was killing me. I went to the clubhouse, had beer and hamburger, hit the hardware store on the way home, and took a nap. Still, I got some golf played, did medium for my game. Again, just love your attitude Jimmy. A new subscriber gained!

I haven't been able to play golf for a few weeks due to injuries. Saw you on KZread and had to try your swing program. It was so easy. I never even attempted to try it before playing 9 holes. No practice, nothing. Just went out and played. Haven't touched a club in 2 months. Shot 46 on a tough golf course. Still not 100% recovered. If you can breathe and move , you can do this.

2 rounds later using Jimmy's aproach... shot a 79. Simple AND repeatable. No need to tak a huge full swing, simple, shorter takeaway and a 75% swing gives WAY BETTER CONTACT with plenty of distance. I was skeptical, but not no more!! Jimmy is the man!!
Jimmy the video you showed about waving 👋 on your back swing really helped me to hitting the ball solid far and straight thank you
I’ll just say! Found Jimmy and NOW I have fun! This works.

After teaching 30 yrs and was in the PGA and started golf at 7 living across from the golf course. i have over 100 books I have read about the golf swing. We didn't have KZread. I always taught a golfer based on the physical abilities. Now in my late 70's and I still work out but I can't swing the swing I was able to do from 7 to age 68. With more aches and pains. With your swing more golfers can swing this way with fewer injuries. That is what I have discovered for me. Tha you Jimmy.

Effective and EASY. He has a GREAT video on ball placement, I was not sold on playing woods and long irons so further back but it cured my hooks and kept the ball in play ALL DAY!! Highly recommend if you haven't seen it. Beat

Practice on the range, but PLAY on the course. It's really easy to forget that, thanks for the reminder.
30 years and just now hearing this. Wow!
Thank you for removing pressure from the game. Your technique works great even in courses that look worse than some cow pastures I've walked and played on. Keep up your videos for you are helping make golf fun again
I told my Golf buddy I was doing a new back swing. He says it looked like I was waving at him. Simple Golf, here I come!!!

Hello, so your strategy seems to be working for me! At 58 years of age, I have never played more than 15 rounds of golf a summer with 4 - 5 being company scrambles. Consistency has been the challenge and I have averaged 105 from the whites at local courses. This winter I started following your channel and have gone to the range several times to practice. My first four rounds of the season have been 104, 97, 93 , and 94. I play with a driver, 4 hybrid and 5 - gap wedge for clubs. Some more practice with the short game will hopefully drive another 3 - 5 shots off of my score and have me flirting with the 80s! Thanks

I enjoy your videos, Jimmy. With the exceptions of a few outings, I basically quit golf after high school with an 11 handicap. I started playing again, but my handicap has soared to a 28 and I cannot seem to improve. Distance isn't a problem, but I cannot keep them in play. I even knock it down a club or two just so I have an easy swing. No luck. Wish I could find out why my shots are so wild. Lessons haven't helped either. 😕
@TropicanaEntertainment

Your shots are wild because youre doing to much. Keep you hands quiet and swing half
The old Lakers would not have a chance playing post Hand Checking rules Lakers. Todays game is not the same and while great players could make a larger impact on the game in the early 80's todays teams have to be just that... Ground under repair allows for a drop without penalty (addition of extra stroke).
OK went out today. Just played nine holes that’s all weather permitted, did not go to the driving range first which I wish I would’ve since seeing your videos. I hit some shots that felt just unbelievable. I like that I try to illuminate every thought from my head and leave my hands behind as I turned it seem to work really really good majority of the time when I was able to keep my head down and move my hips through. I love the concept. I do have one question I like that I’m not confusing myself with a bunch of other thoughts, but the one thing that you said to do was wave to the camera here’s my question is that wave to the camera your wrists cocking and just a better way of thinking about it.

Jimmy, loving the videos! slight suggestion, would you be able to show the full swing on your videos? I like seeing the ball flight, but would be helpful to see the actual swing (maybe add a tracer instead?)

Shot tracers are why I started this channel. Shot tracers are so fake I couldnt stand it anymore.
@ag358
2 ай бұрын
Ty Jimmy. Please no tracers. Keep doing what you're doing. Iron distance now is unremarkable today because they keep decreasing loft seven irons are as low as thirty degrees now. Teach what your teaching and teach to hit each club the same distance that's how to score.@@TropicanaEntertainment

Thank you Jimmy. You advise is super valuable. I decreased my handicap just from watching your videos. I can also now play 18 holes with one golf ball thanks to your simple and repeatable techniques. I was wondering what type of grip do you use with your golf clubs. Do you use an interlock grip, baseball grip, or some other type of grip? Just curious. Thank you. Will Rivera

I agree. Larry shouldn't be thinking about anything when on the course... well, maybe ONE swing thought. Sure, practice like hell to improve your shortcomings, but "let it go" when you're playing a round.
Should I turn the club face then grip it?
@TropicanaEntertainment
2 ай бұрын
Yes. Just a little bit
That shot over the tree ,on the 2nd hole, I think I would have used my 4 iron, and hit it off my back foot, and gone UNDER the tree.
Right or wrong? You turn your club like you say, you take your fifty degree, turn it in a quarter to a half inch, does that NOW, make that a forty eight to a forty six degree, ADDING, more distance with less loft? Placing you on the back of the green instead of the middle or back of the green? Play well my friend, have a blast. If anybody plays like I do, off and on again since the early seventies, (no lessons or proper trainig,) just some good friends that try to help you out, (mainly by making you think,) and NOW, youtube, and you play once, twice a week. Then congrats, you are not smart enough at the game to get mad at it. Go hit some balls and have fun. Don't worry about the score. Tip of the day, practice. Putting. You lose more strokes over putting and chipping than you do in the fairway. Thanks Jimmie, for keeping it simple. Simple, and stylish.
Less is more as they say😊

"Neck down bruh". I play best when I am there from the neck down. It doesn't pay me to think.
Speaking my language
What a shocker. A guy with solid technique built up over probably years is capable of "doing less" because most of the things that go on a rampage of many amateurs are already deeply ingrained. Don't get me wrong, I think, this relaxed approach makes absolute sense but lets not act as if it is for everyone and will solve all issues. I can't do less of everything when I sway and I am not aware of it.

Are they still as in just following your turn forward? I keep thinking I have too much swing in my arms after watching your great vids
