How to play Battlefield: Bad Company 2 multiplayer in 2024 after the EA master server is closed

On December 8, 2023, EA Games closed the master server of Battlefield: Bad Company 2. However, you can continue to play multiplayer on the Nexus emulator servers. To do this, register on this site and confirm your registration by following the link that will be sent to your email address specified during registration: veniceunleashed.net/signup
Then download the Project Rome Client archive from here: veniceunleashed.net/downloads
Unpack the dinput.dll file from this archive into the game folder. Launch the game and when logging into multiplayer, use the nickname and password you created when registering on this site.

    still working EA forget about the server and this game Does somebody plan to upgrade DLL because it has big bug - cannot save password

    Today they should turn it off during the day. I just posted the video a little earlier so that as many people as possible could quickly learn what to do. But it will be funny if EA actually forgot that they were going to shut down the server. XD No, the password is saved if the save checkbox is checked and it was entered successfully. If a bug occurs, try deleting the BFBC2 folder from my documents. After this, the game will launch as it did for the first time with standard settings.

    БК2 уже не купить нигде, его сняли с продажи, помимо закрытия официального мастер сервера. Качай с торрентов.

    Это да. В теории за счёт этого могло произойти возрождение БК2, но пока слишком мало игроков перешло.
