One thing I’d love to see would be tips for picking plants at a big box store. Like you go to the store and tell us what you look for and red flags when shopping at a big box store. Love your channel!

REMEMBER, if people are just watching you, like me, then whatever you say IS new...to newbies. I don't want to have to watch hours of one person to get the info I'm needing. If we do decide to watch you faithfully, redundancy is not a problem. 😉
I thought that I had to remove ALL of the spagnum. This is game changer for me.

The reason you are told to remove all of the moss is because it retains water like crazy, and with it being directly on the roots, when watering, it’s going to retain more water than the soil… directly on the roots.
I mostly ONLY watch dog and plant videos (I know, pathetic right😂) BUT I want to tell you how you have become one of my FAVORITE channels❤ I love that you focus on plants NOT your make-up and outfit (or your kids...yes they are adorable BUT we are here for plant info) I love that you dont over edit your videos (meaning , leaving the mistakes and the pauses to check the door for when the dogs bark (like we all do) I LIKE that you seem approachable, like someone you would truly want as a friend, you seem to be optimistic (yet realistic) SO FUNNY and mostly a wonderful and interesting personality. I like all your videos (especially the ones from the past year) you make your plant info PRACTICAL! you admit that you have failures, and you share your mistakes (you don't sit there in front of perfectly groomed and perfectly placed plants with not a single dead leaf like so many other plant channels) I LIKE to see your excitement over a new leaf (just like we all do) I like how you describe WHY and what you like about a type of plant. You'll probably want a restraining order after reading this comment 🤪 BUT seriously, keep up the great work! Oh yeah, I really enjoyed your mom's plant tour video too.
Love the regular uploads harli you’re doing great. I’d love to see more plant care videos. Especially longer ones. I usually put them on when I’m doing my own plant chores. Anything from propagating to repot, cleaning, growth updates. That will keep your channel going forever! I also have a small planty KZread channel. I was the one pestering you for a discord 🤣
I LOVE that you use recycled materials for your plants … plastic milk jugs for watering, disposable cups for propagation. Keep the regular uploads coming, I throughly enjoy your content!
Even a simple repot is therapeutic whether I’m doing or I’m watching someone else. So thank you for the content!
Your tips are great! Even if you feel like you're repeating yourself they're still good reminders for everyone. :) I'd love to see more planty experiments like your soil vs. water vs. moss video!
I found your channel when I googled "how to repot a monstera" 😊🙏 and we reported our monsteras together and now we repot everything together ❤
I love these videos even though I've watched similar ones before. It's not like we remember everything from every video we see. And also there are always some kind of variables in the different videos! You're either potting different plants, using another soil mix or so on, or just wording things in another way so we get information served differently. So in that sense you have definitely not shown us everything! Loove 💜
I would love to know more about specific plant issues, like what certain plants are susceptible to and how to tell different plant issues apart from one another. For example, when a certain type of plant starts wilting or dying what could be wrong & what you might do to fix it.
Harli my favorite videos to see are your day in the life vlogs! Showing in action how you care for your plants is so motivating. I'd love to learn more about why you love plants and which ones you love like your top favs of each genus! And none of your videos ever get old rewatching all your videos are a part of my day to day routine.
You could always experiment more! I've been thinking about trying a version of your prop box method, but instead of using moss, I'd use perlite. Pretty much merging your method with Ashley's and Fern's. But really, you could just post the exact same content you have been and we'd still watch it. We love your videos for your personality! Information is a bonus for sure, but you're what we truly love. 💖
Totally agree. I used to clean up the sphagnum moss from my propagation because some people say leaving the moss in the soil will rot the root system... But it's just too much work and I'm naturally lazy person. So in the end i just chuck it in with the soil and they're doing fine. And if you think about it... rotting usually happen because irregular watering (overwatering or letting the soil get too dry before the next watering). So i think as long your watering schedule are on point, it won't be a problem.
You are a pleasure to watch.Have you always used this method of potting? Are their any plants you wouldn't use this method for?Thank you.
I like the idea of sphagnum moss at the bottom of the pot. I use used coffee filters. The coffee reside on the acts like a fertilizer too 🙂 I found you by propagation, but I also like to see different kinds of a genus. I.e. different kinds of syngoniums, different types of philodendrons, etc
I would love care videos on individual plants! There are so many plants I can never find care videos on from someone who’s opinion I really trust! But even if the videos you make feel redundant I will always watch them! I just love your personality ❤️
Thanks for this Harli. I’m one of those who is scared to to pot up with moss because my overwatering struggle is real lol. For suggestions on future videos, since so many of us are plant nerds and true crime junkies so how about reviving the ‘Potting a Murder’ series? Pllleeeease! 🫣💚
I have learned so much from you over the years! I just gave a big Monstera and several pathos and philodendron cuttings to a friend that is starting their plant collection. I realized that I wish you had some shorter videos that focus on one subject each. Like how to mix your own soil, how to identify bugs/ pests, how to look for good pots at the store, etc… You have SOO much knowledge and I sent a ton of your videos to my friend! I would totally use and share a playlist full of quick reference videos though.
So glad I found this. I followed your how to on prop boxes and now they’re rooting
I like every video you post! It would be cool to see updates on your terrariums, or if you change them around, bringing the moss back to life, taking cuttings to prop (you've done it before, but I don't get tired of those) and cleaning/reorganizing your grow tent etc. Plant tours. Literally anything,
I love the growing season and love all the new leaves I get, I'd love to see a video of u sharing all the new growth/leaves your personal plants r putting out! ☺️
I found your channel when looking for propagation videos 😄
I have been watching so long, I can't remember how I found you. Enjoy you to bits!
I like the videos where you show the progress of your propagated plants over time. I do know that takes time though. Also, what about doing a react video to any of your old videos? Maybe saying anything that has changed?
I enjoy seeing your plants so no worries. Love seeing what’s doing well and what isn’t.
Thank you for posting this! It was so helpful to me Harli. Love all your tips no matter how small they may seem:)
This is perfect timing! I have so many props that I need to pot up and this gave me the motivation I need to do it!
I love your unboxing plant videos!!
I love this background set up! It’s so fun! Your videos encouraged me to try propagation for the first time and they are thriving! Thanks for the tips 💙
Sooo excited for a Harli G video!!
I love a video like this. Potting my cuttings is the scariest part of plant care for me. Having you show me a way to do it is so helpful! So keep giving me plant care tips!
Love your videos. As a new subscriber I'm learning so much. Thank you!
I have and will be enjoying your channel for some years now, keep up the awesome work!!
I love your moss propagation videos and yes i did find you through prop boxe videos
Yes! I needed this video. Would love to see an update on how these are doing in the future! :)
I love update videos! A grow tent update, foliage fix update, or any propagation project updates you’ve done on camera but haven’t updated on in a long time.
propogation bins are totally your thing!! i always think of you when im working with mine and while it wasn't the exact video i found you with on but they are awesome adn your boxes in particular are so well set up and so cute i love them
That light looks so cute in the background! You did great rearranging your plant room and go girl bringing that shelf down lol! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I found your channel as i was starting out with plants and i was looking for scindapsus care videos. I liked yours the most as you go in depth with your explanations :)
I actually found this channel a couple of years ago through one of your lipstick plant care videos!! I had just really gotten into the hobby right before covid hit and one of my first online purchases was a black pagoda lipstick plant so I was looking up the care for these plants as a whole. I've been here ever since!❤☺
I found you a long time ago because I wanted to learn more about prop boxes. You are the prop box queen!!!
Love your video!! I’m learning to propagate in moss.. I love to start with cuts and see them grow on my care.. it is very satisfying 😁
Either you were just in my feed from researching plants or I searches something specific and you had just what I needed! Thank you
This back drop! The way the light shines on the plants and the shadows! Chefs kiss!
I love your propogation methods. Thank you
I just started trying moss probbox method. Perfect timing on this one thank you.
I found your channel from your syngonium care. Glad that popped up in my feed😍
I absolutely love all of your videos. You are the #1 person I follow on KZread. I’ve learned a lot from you and I always look forward to your videos. I don’t think you need to apologize for those that may disagree with your methods. If they disagree, then hopefully they will share that in a respectable manner. Thank you for being you and for helping me stay excited for my plant collection 💗
I love all of your videos, you are my fave plant KZreadr and rlly made me get into rare plants!! I especially like your vlogs & plant care videos bc I watch them like a podcast while I take care of my plants. Also liquidirt is my new favourite thing, I tell my friends and family to use it all the time!! Love from Canada xoxo
I just love your tips and you are down to earth amazing person. I really enjoy your tips no matter what.
I found you from propagation bins!!! Also my mind was truly blown at sphagnum moss for propagation "stands". Thank you for sharing your knowledge and helping us make our lives a little more cheerful and peaceful through plant love!!!!!💚
Perfect timing, I have so many propagations in moss right now
My heart seeing the return of the crispy Thai Constellation 💔 At least the pot will be put to good use!
I only just found your channel so anything you say is not redundant to me or anyone new. Keep up the great work!
You are one if not the best gardening plant mom I have ever seen. Please, keep repeating yourself there is nothing wrong with it. It just reassures us that we are doing things wrong or right. Appreciate you so much. Enjoy your information delivery. How are the children? God bless you and yours. “Keep us in the green.”
I found ur channel about 5 years ago, when I had just started getting into plants and wanted basic care tips, u explained everything really good and I’ve been watching u ever since 😋
This video is super helpful, thank you!
Just had a philodendron brandtianum arrive today from Foliage Fix so this video was perfectly timed (and very helpful for the next steps?! I cant wait to see the lil cutie grow!!
All of your plants are soooo pretty!!
Harly and Ryan are such awesome people unlike other youtuper their not fake and throw great positive energy love all her video for plant beginners and the same the time you can see her and husband grow as people!!
Awesome information 🤩 Thanks for sharing 🪴!
I found your channel through your propagation videos. I continue to watch though and love your unboxing videos too; actually just all your content!
Found your channel several years ago & then your Mom’s too. Followed and got to meet her and your Dad at Poot’s Cactus. So fun! 👍🏼😃
The fern photo bomb had me rolling 😂 just keep making videos of things you love to do or love to share. Let there be duplicates so there are options when I Google my how to's! 😘
What signs do you look for when the plant is ready to be potted from propagation? I potted a monstera albo after it rooted and it’s just not putting out a new leaf! Does any of your Hoyas that are in a terracotta pot need repotting? I’ve heard that some people don’t pot Hoyas in terracotta and I’d really like to see one being repotted to see if the roots are actually going to be as damaged as some make out! Also signs to repot plants in terracotta would be helpful! I definitely found your channel through your videos about prop bins and grow tent for someone that sells and grows on plants from home… but I ended up staying for your personality, chilled vibes, and non-judgeyness 👍 Thanks for another video, love that you’re posting regularly at the moment! 🌱
Love your tips, makes since! Thank you great video!!!!
I found your channel from the video where you show various ways to add plants into your home decor (some on light fixtures, inside a floor lamp, on a branch of another plant, on a cool wooden plank, etc) it was amazing! I was hooked to your channel since then. Then found out you’re local to Utah and I’d love to meet you in person. I’m in Utah county. You’re my kinda people Harliiiii!!! ❤
My little head agrees with you cute head!! Just keep doing what you are doing, it’s working!! 💚😘
I found your channel in 2020 when I got my very first plant! It was the red maranta and I googled how to propagate it and your video was the first to show up and I been watching you religiously ever since!
I've learned so much from you that I'm drowning in propagating clippings! I would love to see more videos about how to get started selling/ shipping plant clippings online!

Okay! I’ll put some videos together
Everyone hasn’t watched every one of your videos. It’s ok to repeat yourself. There’s a better chance that the info will get to who needs it if it’s in more than one video. Did that make since at all? 🤣 Fyi. You’re my go to when i’m in the mood to watch planty stuff. And now your on my 52 inch tv in the living room. So don’t stop what your doing. ❤️
Your timing has been perfect for me as I try to get a prop box to work. I am SO inept at propagating that having you hold my hand step by step is fantastic. (Listen... I know at least one way that I am currently screwing up my prop situation, my box has way too many cuttings in it... but at least it's better than previous attempts.)
Actually I dont know when I found your channel but I really love your propagation and care videos as much as the hauls. You always put so much afford in your videos and I really appreciate that 🌱
This is super helpful!! I just ordered a bunch of plants online from multiple places, and a couple of the ones that have arrived are in a mixture of mostly sphagnum moss with a bit of perlite as well! I’ve never dealt with sphagnum moss and haven’t had the chance to look into it too much, I just stuck with the basics that I knew and didn’t want to add in something new, so I’m glad I have the chance to work with it a little bit now! ☺️ Your videos have been super helpful the last few days since I came across your channel!
The way I found your channel a couple of years ago, was you repotting plants at your kitchen table spilling soil all over the place. 😁 What you think is basic is really helpful to the novice. You make it feel normal to not be a professional. You're doing great Harli. Those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind. ❤️ Do what makes YOU happy and the rest will follow. ☺️
I love all your video, even non plant related. I loved you and Ryan’s channel and watched all those videos at least twice lol. Not to make you feel pressured that you have to upload there!! I know it’s probably a lot to keep up with. Just wanted to let you know that some of us do really like your non plant related videos too!
I am so glad you said that about leaving the moss on the roots. I do the same, although usually when I pot up moss props, I wait until they’re a little on the drier side. Sometimes then I can pick off the larger pieces of moss on the top of the “plug,” but otherwise I also don’t even worry about it. I figure if it could root in the moss, it can continue to grow through the moss with other additions (soil, etc) to the pot. No troubles so far!
I found your channel from your old big box store plant shopping videos!
I love your content. Even if you feel your repeating, I get new stuff from you all the time
i’ve been looking for a video like this just this week so thank you 🙏🏻 also, just a tip: i would recommend rinsing and sanitizing your nursery pots before reusing them 👍🏻
Do what you enjoy, life is short. It is still fun to see updates of things though and this was great! My micans aren't to that stage of growth yet but they're slow for me..🤷🏻♀️ anyway this was handy and well timed so thank you! plant chores are good motivators to follow along with too. or what about group pots? like are there some understory plants you have that might make a good pair with some that grow taller? I just combined my purple oxalis and norfolk island pine and it's the coolest 🤓 Also, it takes time to grow stuff but if I'm scanning youtube... i've got time so 👍 we'll enjoy your plant videos when you enjoy your plant videos!
I liked the moss in the bottom tip. I would love to see a follow up vid of how the variegated philo has grown!?. Anywho… good job Harli G dizzle
Great info as always!! I'd like to see maybe Spotlight/Care plant videos?? Whatever you post, I'll watch!!
Mainly commenting to help boost your KZread algorithm ❤️
Thanks as always for another educationally awesome video! If you're looking for a simple soil mix recipe mix 6 parts coco coir, 2 parts worm castings, 2 parts perlite...optional: 1 part orchid bark. Mix to combine et voila! Hope this helps!
Love this video!! I would love another Hoya tour. It’s been a while!!
Yes, I found you through propagation 😂 It’s so satisfying looking at people prop boxes
Even if you cover the same topic again, I still enjoy watching. 😁 Love the tip of moss in the bottom of the pot to keep soil from falling out the drainage holes.
Love repotting and progress reports. I accidentally broke off a 10 long sting of my scindapsus argereous (sp.)But because I’d just gotten some plants from you. So, I bought the little cups, the spag and plants about 20 of them, just like you! 😂😜🥰 And I would love to see a video about how we take care of our new babies when we get them. Not just from you but when we get small plants.
I only gave a try to moss propagation on a bin, after watching all your videos with that content and lemme tell you… my APARTMENT has become a plant factory and my bf is not happy with you 🤣 jk, he thinks is cute that I care so much for out little planty friends!! ❤
I found you when you were in the old house and before kids. I’ve enjoyed all the content throughout the years.
You are way too cute! And very generous! Thank you dear ❤️
I definitely found you through your prop box videos and you were the first person to teach me what a prop box is, I wasn't even looking but clicked on the video because it looked interesting. I love that you don't remove the moss from the roots, it makes no sense to me to spend all that time carefully removing moss from roots to put it in soil, they like the moss, they grew up in the moss, let them be!
Me and my plants absolutely LOVE your channel, all 60 of us - and when it comes to watering I prefer bottom watering in the winter, top watering (preferably a shower) in the summer, my plants like it that way too, and like you said, newly potted plants get a top water no matter when, bcause their roots don't even know where they are yet, no less know which way the water is gonna come 😂 and I also like to water them with the water they were propagating in 😁 anyway, off to repot my philadendron green princess, she's my first ever moss propagation and I found this video absolutely perfect ☺💖
Plants are great and fun! But you are adorable!!!
I found your xhannel a couple of days ago due to an unboxing video of ours I got recommended, and loved every video i watched with you in it, you have suxh a lovely personality!
I have no idea how I ended up here.. but I'm glad I found you! I do love your propagation videos!
Just a comment to engage, I enjoy every video, Harli! :)
Showed up just in time!!
